I am a responsible, trustworthy person with a wealth of experience with dogs. Along with caring for my own, I've walked, pet sat, boarded and fostered dogs for family members, friends and associates throughout my life. My early experiences working at a pet shop and as a veterinarian's assistant provided a foundation of dog care knowledge that I've continued to build on ever since. After a lengthy career in the Information Technology sector I opted to retire early and pursue rewarding part-time work. As a Fairfield resident for over 20 years, I'm committed to providing local Wag clients with the best dog walking service possible.

“Dog Tested, Owner Approved”

As a child, I was firmly a cat person and thought dogs were terrifying - but then we got one! Marla helped show me that the line between cat and dog lovers is meant to be blurred. While cats are still the only animal I have tattooed on my skin, the many dogs I've taken care of will always have a special place in my heart. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room left for your furry buddy too!

I was a Wag Walker for over 2 years, but took a break to focus on school and my career. However, I have some free time this summer so I wanted to open myself back up for walks/sittings/drop ins! As you can see I have lots of walks/miles under my belt so I am confident when interacting with animals and will do everything I can to make sure you and your pet have the best experience possible!

Like all of my colleagues here at Wag, I love dogs and they love me back. My general disposition is calm and aware. My family members call me “the dog whisperer” because of my natural affinity to all pets. I have a special connection to shy and reserved dogs. A breeder friend of mine took in a rescue German Shepherd and I was the only person the dog allowed into her personal space. In addition, I am an avid hiker which provides the endurance to ensure good healthy walks for both your dog and me.

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am 24 years old living in southern Fairfield county. I've been around dogs my whole life and I absolutely love them. I've been trusted by many friends to sit, board, and walk their dogs. I am currently unable to have a dog of my own, so walking other dogs is the next best thing. My top priority is your dog's safety and happiness.

Hi, I’m Bob- I’ve been an animal lover all my life. I grew up in Irvington, NY with a Boxer named Rudy and a Poodle named Pepe. I’ve been walking dogs in Westchester County for 5 years and now that I live in Connecticut I’d like to continue. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, from walking 5 yorkies at a time to one big 13-year-old Akita named Yoshi. In the past I worked as a dog walker full time for over a year but recently decided to come back after a knee injury forced me to leave my previous job. My physical therapist said I should be out walking more so I figure dogs would be a great thing to work with again. I am excited to see some of my old friends as well as meet new pups!

Dog Walking in Fairfield

As one of the original cities that was founded in America, there are plenty of places to explore in Fairfield, Connecticut. There are lovely historic neighborhoods, parks, and beaches to see with your best friend. One of the most pleasing for pets in the Jennings Dog Beach.

Jennings Dog Beach is a great place to let your water-loving pooch roam free. Plenty of space and sand to let them dig around for hours while you catch some rays. This beach is off-lead so long as you have vocal and visual control of your dog at all times.

Another place you can try is the Cascades at Lake Mohigan. This location is great for people looking to be closer to nature. This beautiful lake is surrounded by vast and lush greenery and plenty of walking trails to enjoy. Although dogs are technically supposed to be kept on leads, most dogs roam free so long as you keep an eye on them.

After a day spent on the water, check into your room at the Best Western Plus Black Rock Inn. They have fresh, clean rooms at a decent price and best of all they allow your pet to stay with you. For a meal, stop by Flipside Burgers and Bar. Not only can you enjoy a juicy burger and a pint, but even Fido can snack on some chicken as well from their special dog menu.

Fairfield is a great place to visit if you have pooches that love the water. Whether it is a lake or the big salty blue, your pet will love a day by the shore. Folks in Fairfield are friendly and will be ready to welcome you and your pet as soon as you arrive!

This dog park is fully fenced-in and allows your pooch to ditch the leash and stretch his legs. There’s a separate area for smaller dogs to ensure safe play.
