If your pooch is in dire need of some off leash time, head over to the Winslow Dog Park. This pawsome park is located inside of Winslow Park in Westport, and is only a 15 minute drive from Wilton. Located in Westport, Compo Beach is less than half an hour from Wilton. Be sure to bring a ball so your four legged friend can play fetch on the sand. This beach is part of a park, so there are also sport courts, ball fields, a playground, and picnic facilities available. Keep in mind the off leash areas are only available from October 1 to March 30. During the peak months from April to September, your pup needs to be kept on leash.
