“helping dogs live their best life”

Hi there! My name is Alex and I am a young professional who has been working in the pet industry for the past five years. My love of dogs started when I was seven with my first dog, a yellow lab named Callie. She was my best friend growing up, showed me uncodnitional love and really gave me a strong understanding of what a dog's purpose is in our lives. Today I currently have three dogs, two yellow labs and a German Shepard mix who are my avid hiking and running partners.

I am a responsible, trustworthy person with a wealth of experience with dogs. Along with caring for my own, I've walked, pet sat, boarded and fostered dogs for family members, friends and associates throughout my life. My early experiences working at a pet shop and as a veterinarian's assistant provided a foundation of dog care knowledge that I've continued to build on ever since. After a lengthy career in the Information Technology sector I opted to retire early and pursue rewarding part-time work. As a Fairfield resident for over 20 years, I'm committed to providing local Wag clients with the best dog walking service possible.

I am a recent UConn graduate and drummer, currently building a portfolio and playing local gigs. I have wanted a dog all my life but have not been able to due to allergies in the family. This gig lets me spend time with dogs while learning about different breeds which will help me decide on what type of dog I would like for myself in the future. I will be excited to meet yours and care for them as if they were my own!

I’ve been walking dogs in Westchester County for 5 years and now that I live in Connecticut I’d like to continue. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, from walking 5 yorkies at a time to one big 13-year-old Akita named Yoshi. At home, I have an 8-year-old English Bulldog named Vito and a 7-year-old Golden Doodle named Hazel. I will treat your dogs as if they were my own. And as always “SAFETY FIRST”

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am 23 years old living in southern Fairfield county. I've been around dogs my whole life and I absolutely love them. I've been trusted by many friends to sit, board, and walk their dogs. I am currently unable to have a dog of my own, so walking other dogs is the next best thing. Dog Walking in Wilton

Wilton is a midsized town in Fairfield County. With rolling hills, wooded areas, streams, and ponds, this town has no short supply of natural beauty. Not only is Wilton a picturesque place, it is also business friendly, and is home to several successful start-up companies, consulting firms, and global corporations.

If you don’t feel like making dinner, leash up your pup and head over to one of Wilton’s pet friendly restaurants. Don’t miss out on the delectable cuisine of Marly’s Bar and Bistro, which has been voted to have the “Best Burger” and “Best Seafood” in Wilton. Your furry dining pal can join you at one of the outdoor tables. Heibeck’s Stand is another dog loving restaurant with outdoor tables. They specialize in quality burgers and sandwiches, as well as homemade ice cream. Be sure to get a scoop or two in a signature flavor.

If your pup is begging for some time in nature, head over to the Leonard J. Bradley Park. A variety of trails takes you through pine trees, wetlands, and over small streams. Fido will love feeling the dirt beneath his paws as he makes his way around this park.

With such amazing trails, pet friendly restaurants, and four veterinary clinics, it’s no wonder dogs feel so at home in Wilton.

Leash up your pup and head over to the Wilton Town Forest for some much needed time in nature. Your pal will love the serene setting and break from the hustle and bustle of life. In the northeast corner of the forest, you’ll find Sheep Falls. Barrett’s Brook flows out of the falls and adds to the forest’s beauty. There are several trails that weave throughout the forest. The Orange Trail runs alongside Barrett’s Brook and is often noted as one of the prettiest trails in Wilton. Facilities are not available, so bring your own water. What a great place for your pal to get some exercise!

Every dog loves a trip to the park. Clip on your dog’s leash and pay a visit to the Merwin Meadows Park for some fun in the sun. The Norwalk River flows right through this park, so you know you’ll get some beautiful waterfront scenery during your walk. Follow the paved path around the park and through groves of shade trees. You can also access the Norwalk River Valley Trail in this park. Head north on the trail through the adjacent Lover’s Lane Open Space. You’ll pass through a thickly wooded area and walk alongside the river. Sounds amazing!

Does your dog love being in the great outdoors? Then she’ll most definitely love Cherry Lane Park. Sprawling just over 50 acres, this gorgeous slice of nature will rejuvenate your pup’s spirits. Grab her leash and head over for some serious exploring the seven trails that meander throughout the property. Follow just one, or let your pooch create her own loop. As you wander through the park, you’ll find fir, spruce, maple, birch and beech trees. Let your pooch rest her paws on the shore of the pond. Chances are you’ll see ducks floating around. Take some time to soak in the scenery and enjoy having your pup at your side.

With plenty of space to roam, your pup will be in heaven! He’ll also meet new furry friends. A romp around the field gives him the chance to burn some pent up energy. Nothing beats an off leash area at the beach! Don’t let your dog miss out on all the fun, and head over to Compo Beach so she can splash in the surf. Located in Westport, Compo Beach is less than half an hour from Wilton. Be sure to bring a ball so your four legged friend can play fetch on the sand. This beach is part of a park, so there are also sport courts, ball fields, a playground, and picnic facilities available. Keep in mind the off leash areas are only available from October 1 to March 30. During the peak months from April to September, your pup needs to be kept on leash.
