Felton
Enjoy a day out with your pup at the Killens Pond State Park. This 1,443-acre park offers tons of amenities like camping, boating, fishing, and a 66-acre pond. The park offers recreational activities like a playground and a picnic area, plus it holds the 2.6-mile Pondside Trail. The trail will take you along the back side of the pond where you and Fido can get a good walk in while you are visiting. Make sure your dog stays on a leash while you are out at the park, which is located six miles out of Harrington in Felton.36

Milfordnorth-Developments
The Tony Silicatio Memorial Park is a great park to check out with your furry pal. The park sits behind the Milford Boys and Girls Club and offers a disc golf course, sports fields, and a playground. Take a nice walk along the walking trail that goes throughout the park with your furry pal. The Can-Do Playground At Milford offers a nice playground, soccer fields, and a paved walking path around the park that you can get some exercise on with your pup. Both of these great parks are located in Milford, and only eight miles out of Harrington.24

Milford
Grab Fido and enjoy a walk along the Mispillion Riverwalk. This mile-long trail winds its way through the heart of downtown Milford and is known as the largest park in town. The trail and park follow a part of the river and is a great area to enjoy a day out with your dog. Along the park and path there are benches that you can sit down on to relax and the path is easy to walk since it is asphalt. The park will take you to Goat Island, which is 9-acres and the perfect spot to hike around with your dog. The area contains three different ecosystems and a variety of different wild animals, like river otters. If Fido is craving some off-leash time, then check out the Milford Dog Park. The park has two separate areas, one for large dogs and one for small, plus they offer water, clean-up stations, and have doggie pools. Located in Milford, your dog will have a great time out at this park.

Abbotts Mill
The Abbott's Mill Nature Center is a great place to check out for a hike. Hike through woodlands that follows a stream where Fido can stop for some water. The Nature Center also has a picnic area where you and your pup can stop and chill before continuing your hike. There is a 20-acre pond in the middle of the nature area and they also offer a petting zoo. The Milford Millponds Nature Preserve is the perfect spot to get a hike in. There is a packed dirt trail that will take you throughout the preserve where you and Fido can get a good walk in together. Both great areas are located in nearby Milford.

East Milton
Head over to the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge for a nice day out with your dog. This 10,000-acre preserve offers canoeing, fishing, and hiking. Take a walk along the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Loop with your pup. The trail is 1.6-miles long with a 13-foot elevation gain on a loop style route, and is perfect for any skill level of hiker and their dog, just make sure Fido stays on a leash while you are out enjoying the area. Located in Milton, and twenty miles out from Harrington, your time will love exploring this area with you.
