Lums Pond

Lums Pond is a state park in Delaware, and it's just over a half-hour drive from Kennedyville, in southwest Bear. Lums Pond has its own dog park, and it offers visiting dogs the opportunity to run, swim, play, and jump in a gorgeous natural setting. This park is very large, but it isn't totally fenced in, so if your dog doesn't have excellent recall skills, it's best to keep them on a leash. There are several trails within the park, as well as a large swimming area where dogs can take a dip, and lots of open space where they can run.

Southwest Middletown

The Levels Road Dog Park in Middletown, Delaware is less than 20 miles from Kennedyville, and it's a lovely dog park that both you and your furry companion will enjoy. Many people regard Levels Road Dog Park as the nicest dog park they've ever been to because it is so clean and well-maintained. This dog park has a sturdy fence surrounding the entire park, and it includes a separate section for big dogs and another for small dogs. The park is open every day from 7 AM to sunset, and during the warm months, there are running water fountains for dogs.

Town Center

The Kent Island Dog Park is less than an hour's drive from Kennedyville, in central Stevensville, Maryland. This dog park has all of the qualities a good dog park should: there are big and small dog sections, both of which have agility equipment, as well as drinking water for dogs, waste bags for cleaning up, seating, shade, and picnic tables. If you'd like to take your dog for a leashed walk nearby, there are also several hiking trails surrounding the off-leash area. The Kent Island Dog Park is open every day from dawn to dusk, and you and Fido are both sure to love it!

Northeast Havre de Grace

There's another great dog park less than an hour away from Kennedyville, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The K-9 Cody Dog Park is located in northeast Havre de Grace, and it is a fully fenced, off-leash park with sections for both big and small dogs. This dog park just opened in 2016, and the parks department is constantly working to improve it, including adding agility equipment. The park has water fountains that both humans and dogs can use, and there is also shade and seating throughout the park. The K-9 Cody Dog Park was named after one of Havre de Grace's beloved service dogs who passed away in 2002.

Iron Hill

About 30 miles north of Kennedyville, in southern Newark, Delaware, sits the Iron Hill Dog Park, which is located within the Iron Hill municipal park. This dog park opened in 2008, and before long, it was a beloved spot by locals and visitors alike. There's a community of regulars who visit the park, and the friendly atmosphere doesn't go unnoticed by first-timers, either! There are big and small dog sections in the park, and the park also provides doggy bags, drinking water, seating, and shade. The Iron Hill Dog Park is open every day from dawn to dusk, and there are also hiking trails surrounding the off-leash area. You and your dashing dog are sure to have a furrific time here!
