Located in this neighborhood in the outskirts of Clermont is the Lake Lousia State Park. This pawsome park is great for biking, hiking, and picnicking. Within these 4,500-acres of land, your dog is going to love exploring the lakes, rolling hills, and scenic landscape. If you want to extend your adventure, then take advantage of the cabins and camping facilities and spend a few nights up at the park. There is over 20-miles of beautiful winding trails that you and Fido can explore, but make sure to keep him on leash. Also, don't forget your water and clean-up bags, as they are not available in this natural area.

The Minneola Dog Park is nine miles out of Groveland in Minneola, and a fantastic spot to let Fido off leash and around other dogs to make some new friends. The park has two separate parks, one for large dogs and one for smaller breeds. There is also tons of open space for running, shade, water fountains for pups, and a fire hydrant. The ground covering is a mixture of grass and dirt, and the park provides clean-up bags and waste stations just in case you forget yours at home. Your pup will be tuckered out on his way home after a fun day out at this park.

Only thirteen miles out of Groveland, your pup will love going on this hike with you and being able to get some exercise in before heading back home. The trail is 13-miles long with an asphalt ground covering. While you hike, you will be rewarded with gorgeous views of the hills, lakes, and open vistas that Clermont has to offer. The South Lake Trail is also apart of the Coast-to-Coast Connector which stretches from Central Florida to Cape Canaveral. Make sure to bring plenty of water and clean-up bags while you and your pup explore this pawsome trail.

The trails range in length from 9.4-miles and 13.6-miles and are loop style routes, which are perfect for any level of hiker and their pup. Don't forget your water and clean-up bags while you visit.
