The area around Reed Canal, which runs through the southern section of the city, is a furrific spot to visit with your dog. You can walk along the canal by following Reed Canal Road, and this will lead you to a nice community park. Reed Canal Park spans 35 acres, and its picturesque grounds are naturally shaded by scattered trees. There is even a small lake in the center of the park — you might even observe the local model sailboat club conducting a meeting there! You are sure to enjoy a walk with your dog along the lighted concrete path around the park.

The northern section of Port Orange borders South Daytona to the south, and it is definitely a place you’ll want to visit if you’re accompanied by your dog. There are lots of things to do there, especially if you bring your appetite. Head to Aunt Catfish’s on the River — as its name suggests, it is right on the water, and the wait staff will even provide some water for your dog while you enjoy their delicious seafood on the patio outside! If you’re more in the mood for a sports bar with great food, try McKenna’s Place, which also has outdoor seating so you can bring your dog along.
