I am an avid animal lover who has owned and cared for fur-babies of all breeds (dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, & more!) and sizes, including hounds, Dobermans, pugs, cocker spaniels, poodles, and bully breeds. I love volunteering at animal shelters, providing care for dogs and cats. I currently have 3 cats of my own who adore making new furry friends, but can be easily separated if your fur baby likes their space. I look forward to loving your sweet babies like my own :)

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a college student in Daytona Beach. I love having a flexible job doing something I love during my free time! I am a huge animal lover and have a dog of my own. I love to help out pet parents that are unable to walk their own dogs themselves. I am happy to walk any and every type of dog! I love meeting all the different dogs in the area :)

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in South Daytona
Bryan Cave Estates
Bryan Cave Estates
The area around Reed Canal, which runs through the southern section of the city, is a furrific spot to visit with your dog. You can walk along the canal by following Reed Canal Road, and this will lead you to a nice community park. Reed Canal Park spans 35 acres, and its picturesque grounds are naturally shaded by scattered trees. There is even a small lake in the center of the park — you might even observe the local model sailboat club conducting a meeting there! You are sure to enjoy a walk with your dog along the lighted concrete path around the park.
Magnolia Woods
Magnolia Woods
The central area of South Daytona offers many activities for people passing through with their pooches. There are a number of small parks in this part of the city, providing a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the warm Florida air. Head to Magnolia Avenue to visit Magnolia Park: you’ll immediately recognize this park by the small point with a fountain in the middle. The park has shaded seating, a small walking path, and more! Melodie Park on Oriole Lane is another place you can visit: it is a bit smaller but has a friendly atmosphere, and there are benches if you need to rest your legs!
Daniels Port Orange
Daniels Port Orange
The northern section of Port Orange borders South Daytona to the south, and it is definitely a place you’ll want to visit if you’re accompanied by your dog. There are lots of things to do there, especially if you bring your appetite. Head to Aunt Catfish’s on the River — as its name suggests, it is right on the water, and the wait staff will even provide some water for your dog while you enjoy their delicious seafood on the patio outside! If you’re more in the mood for a sports bar with great food, try McKenna’s Place, which also has outdoor seating so you can bring your dog along.
Lone Oak
Lone Oak
Port Orange’s south side is a beautiful area, with creeks, bays, and ponds scattered throughout natural wetlands and grasslands. You will definitely want to spend some time outside if you’re in the area, and a great place to do that is Seamore Memorial Dog Park! It is a fenced, off-leash dog park that has separate areas for large and small dogs, dog fountains, a dog wash station, and more! The park is well-shaded and has benches, so humans can rest their legs while their canine companions play. There are also some great restaurants nearby with outdoor seating for furry friends — 95 and Vine has an extensive wine list and delicious food, and Luigi’s Pizzeria is great for a more casual meal.
Hodgmans Daytona
Hodgmans Daytona
Daytona Beach offers a large number of activities for dog owners, and that’s no surprise: it’s one of the most popular beaches in Florida! A good place to begin exploring the area is at Tuscawilla Park; it has nature trails that make for a great walk. There are also some terrific restaurants nearby that have dog-friendly outdoor seating. One is Ivory Thai Kitchen; they serve delicious Thai cuisine like curry and noodles. Another great option is Kale Café Juice Bar & Vegan Bistro. The name really says it all: if you’re looking for a healthy meal, you’ve found the right place!
