You can walk along the canal by following Reed Canal Road, and this will lead you to a nice community park. Reed Canal Park spans 35 acres, and its picturesque grounds are naturally shaded by scattered trees. There is even a small lake in the center of the park — you might even observe the local model sailboat club conducting a meeting there! The central area of South Daytona offers many activities for people passing through with their pooches. There are lots of things to do there, especially if you bring your appetite. Head to Aunt Catfish’s on the River — as its name suggests, it is right on the water, and the wait staff will even provide some water for your dog while you enjoy their delicious seafood on the patio outside! If you’re more in the mood for a sports bar with great food, try McKenna’s Place, which also has outdoor seating so you can bring your dog along.
