Riviera Oaks is a charming neighborhood in the northwestern area of Holly Hill, and if you’re looking for something to do with your furry friend, look no further! There is a fantastic dog park in Riviera Oaks called, appropriately, Riviera Oaks Dog Park. It is a favorite of the local community and visitors alike, and that's no surprise: this off-leash, fenced dog park is set in a beautiful part of town, and it offers fresh drinking water and separate areas for large and small dogs. The park is well-shaded and there is even a pond outside the dog park that provides a great setting for a relaxing stroll.

If you travel to the east side of Holly Hill, you definitely won’t be at a loss for things to do with your pup! This part of the neighborhood runs along the scenic Halifax River, creating a perfect setting for an on-foot adventure through the neighborhood in the beautiful weather Florida is known for. If you’re exploring the east side, you’ll probably encounter Holly Land Park, a community park that makes for a great stroll with a four-legged friend. Also, be sure to stop by Oliv Epicurean Grill — it is a restaurant with dog-friendly outdoor seating that servers appetizing Mediterranean food.

Hodgmans Daytona

Just to the south of Holly Hill is one of Florida’s most well-known areas, Daytona Beach. Its Hodgmans Daytona neighborhood encompasses the area around Ridgewood Avenue and Speedway Boulevard, and as you might expect from such a popular location, there is a great deal to do here with your dog! There are a number of fantastic restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating concentrated in this area, so be sure to bring your appetite if you’re traveling through. Sweet Marlay’s is one option; the restaurant specializes in tapas, craft beer, and fine wine. For some delicious Asian cuisine head to Ivory Thai Kitchen, and for savory Italian classics, try Zappi’s Italian Garden.

East Daytona Beach is a short trip from Holly Hill — under ten minutes by car — and it is definitely a place you’ll want to visit if you’re traveling with a canine companion! You can walk along the Halifax River to the west or the ocean to the east, either way you’ll enjoy the warm air and cool Atlantic breeze as you explore the neighborhood. There are also lots of great restaurants in East Daytona that have dog-friendly outdoor seating. Sloppy Joe’s at Ocean Walk Shoppes is a great option for some filling American classics. Leashed canine customers are welcome at the outdoor seating area.
