Albany, Georgia is full of beautiful spots in nature for you and your dog to enjoy a nice summer day. Unlike busy cities, Albany has plenty of gorgeous, open spaces where you can take your dog. However, the largest and best park in the area is definitely Reed Bingham State Park. The park has multiple paths and trails for walking their dogs, running or even biking. Furthermore, not only is the park lush and green but it has a variety of activities available. After you walk your furry companion, take your dog to a playground or campsite. It is not an off-leash park but there are plenty of open, private spaces.

Unfortunately to find a dog park near Albany, you will have to drive nearly 90 miles to Valdosta, Georgia. This small city is home to Freedom Park, a dog park that has everything you could ever ask for. The park itself has plenty of trails for walking, running or biking. It also has many sports fields where you can play after your dog is all tuckered out. Furthermore, the dog park has three areas: one for small dogs, one for big dogs and one section for dog running. The park also has plenty of amenities including water and doggie poop bags.

At a 70-mile drive from Albany, Georgia you will find yourself in Eufaula, a small lake town in Alabama. Eufaula is home to Lake Eufaula Campgrounds. This campground is not a dog park but is has plenty of open space next to the lake for your dog to run around freely. Furthermore, the campgrounds are located on a lake so you will have a beautiful view of the water while your dog runs around. But remember, this is not a dog park so there aren’t any amenities for your dog. Make sure you bring your own water and doggie poop bags!
