Fort Valley is a university town that's about 27 miles southwest of Macon, GA. This peaceful community has tree-lined neighborhoods and an area park where you and Fido can enjoy the outdoors together. There are four veterinary clinics here that can provide health care services for your pup.
There's a puptacular park in Robins that's about 15.5 miles northeast of town. Take your fur-baby on an outing to Wellston Park on Olympia Drive. This facility has open space, a mile-long trail, and a fenced dog park with agility equipment and sections for large and small dogs.
About 13 miles southeast of Fort Valley, you'll find a pet-friendly campground. Come with your tent or camper to Fair Harbor RV Park and Campground to spend some time with your special pal in the great outdoors. There are walking trails, a fishing lake, and wireless service available in this 100-acre property.
You can plan a day trip with your pooch to Whitewater Creek Park in Oglethorpe. This 482-acre property is about 22.3 miles southwest of town. There are hiking paths, a fishing pier, picnic areas, and campsites available here. Explore the forest with your four-footed friend, but be sure to keep them on a lead and scoop their droppings.
The town of Fort Valley is near some pawesome outdoor facilities that allow dogs.
The River Rd/Bryan Rd neighborhood of Fort Valley includes farmland, open areas, and residential neighborhoods. There are apartments, single-family homes, a cemetery, and some churches here. In this community, you'll find a pawesome recreational space where you and Spot can get some fresh air. Check out South Peach Park off Murray Road. This facility includes a playground, ball fields, tennis courts, and a walking path. Jog or walk on the trail loop with your four-footed pal for exercise. Remember to keep pups on a lead up to six feet long when visiting a public property. Carry bags to collect any droppings.
Fort Valley's City Center includes some apartment buildings, houses, a shopping district, and the main factory for the Blue Bird Corporation. In this area, you can visit the Fort Valley Downtown and Historic Railroad District to view the Troutman House, three railroad buildings, and other structures that date back to the mid-1800s. Bring Fido with you to take a stroll in Everett Square Memorial Park. This small facility includes open lawn, benches, a central memorial circle, and a paved walking loop. Pets can be on the public property if they're on a lead and under your control. Make sure you remove their waste.
In the Houston Lake/Pabst neighborhood of Perry, you'll find a few public schools, houses, apartment complexes, the city hospital, and some businesses. This community is about 13 miles southeast of town, and it includes a furrific recreational property. Rozar Park off Keith Drive offers a variety of ways to get your exercise with your fur-baby. There are two fishing ponds, athletic fields, a picnic area, and a walking trail here. Leash up your pup and go for a stroll around the water together. After stretching your legs, relax at one of the tables in the facility. Keep pets on a lead when you visit.
The area around Meadowdale and Moss Oaks Road is about 12 miles southeast of Fort Valley. This community includes academic institutions, the Georgia National Fairgrounds, some farms, and a few residential developments. Near this area, you'll find Creekwood Park. The 30-acre facility has a picnic area, athletic fields, and open space. Come with Spot to watch a ball game or play frisbee in the grass. You can also connect to the White Tail Trail pathway for a stroll with your pooch here. Pets need to be on a cord or lead and in control when you visit this public property.
Byron is just 11 miles northeast of town. The Bateman Farms community includes a few public schools, apartment buildings, homes, and a commercial area. To enjoy some outdoor recreation with the family, head to North Peach Park on White Road. Here, you'll find athletic fields, a playground, a picnic area, and a paved walking loop. Bring your pup with you to jog on the trail or to play ball in the grass. Share a meal outdoors at one of the tables to finish your day. Remember that pets are to be on a leash in public places. Pack bags for your outing to remove any waste.
