My name is Jessica and I am in my 30s. I have 3, very active, school-aged boys and 3 furry babies of my own. My first furry love was a beautiful Rottweiler named McKinley. Now I have a Chow, a Beagle mix, and a Chihuahua mix so I am used to caring for and walking the large breeds down to the tiniest breeds. I have grown up around all animals, including horses, and have a lot of experience and respect for pets of all sizes. I'm an avid camper and hiker so I am used to all types of exercise. Can't wait to meet your furry babies!

    “For the love of dog!”

I’m a 32 year old mom who moved to Georgia in March 2021. My favorite things are my daughter, my dog, hiking, and coffee. I am a non smoker, and I am CPR/BLS certified. I’ve had dogs all my life, and have experience with a variety of breeds. I bring my own leash, poop bags, water, bowl, and treats with pet owner permission. I try to do some jogging in my walks, but that depends on the dog and what they’re comfortable with. I am excited to be a walker, and I can't wait to meet your fur babies!

“Experienced dog spoiler!! Just ask my 5 rescues.”

Dogs are my life!! I have had dogs my whole life. Dogs are amazing. They know how we feel before we do, and they try to take care of us. I managed a pet boutique and grooming salon for 6 years. I am still friends with my long time customers, both human and fuzzy. I am trained in holistic pet nutrition and remedies. I am also trained in safety and what a dog is saying with their body language. Most importantly, I love dogs and they love me!! Especially my five rescues at home.

My 5 year old Rottweiler-lab has taught me how to handle a 75 pound boy who dreams of running with (or at) every squirrel or bunny that’s near. My 8 year old corgi-hound mix is stubborn to go outside and also only wants to hang out with humans, so I’ve learned how to be patient with her and give her all the attention she needs! Whatever your dog needs, I’m there for them, just like I would be for mine! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

Hello I am Shannon Dilday! I have 4 dogs of my own. They range from 8 lbs to 100lbs. Pets are such a blessing to us. They should be treated as such. They deserve the best care there is! They are furry little angels running around on earth. I am careful, cautious trustworthy and kind. I will take great care with your babies!

Hi everyone! I am a huge dog lover that enjoys being active! During college, I volunteered at a non-kill animal shelter taking the dogs on walks and dog sat for families. I have watched every kind of dog from chihuahuas to a 120lb rottweiler mix. I grew up with two 80lb + dogs and still miss taking my boys for walks. I would love to help you take care of your fur baby!

Hi Wag! community, my name is Destin. I'm from San Diego, CA and moved to Gainesville, GA after college. Being outdoors and sharing a walk or jog with a pup is a perfect past-time. Your fur babies are your world, so I treat them with all the love and respect they deserve. Coming from a family that's always had a passion for animals, I am confident in my ability to care for all dog breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. Each dog I walk receives my full commitment to a safe and fun experience.

Though Maysville itself has rather limited shopping and dining options, it is only seven miles from the city of Commerce — as bustling as the name implies. Commerce has 5 dog-friendly restaurants, two of which stand out for their Southern charm: Hawg Wild BBQ and the Catfish House, which has 5 dog-friendly tables and describes their menu as “protein-laden.” You can afford the calories if you head to Spencer Park downtown. Or, get a good workout at the sports complex and recreation areas of American Veterans Memorial Park, including a new .3-mile walking trail looping the pond.

At 18 miles from Maysville, Gainesville is quickly emerging as one of north Georgia’s major economic centers. Our favorite local entrepreneurs are the owners of Pet Pleasers Bakery, whose shop and online store have got us drooling. If you need dinner before doggy dessert, select from Gainesville's 16 dog-friendly restaurants. Our pick is 2 Dog on Spring Street: the regulars say servers are happy to bring ice water for your pups and welcome dogs of any size and breed. The best spot in Gainesville might be The Laurel Park “Bark Park” — a free county park on Lake Lanier shore with off-leash play areas and poop disposal bags provided. Wilshire Trails also welcomes on-leash dogs on the creekside walking trails and hilly hike up to an overlook.

On the far side of Gainesville lies a 1,300-acre green expanse on Lake Lanier that dares — dares! — you to bring your dog for a hike. Maybe "challenges" is a better word for it: the Tails on Trails Club is an initiative of the Georgia State Parks. If you and your dog hike seven of the state's most scenic trails, then Rover gets a Tails on Trails bandana and you get a matching t-shirt. You just pick up a card at the ranger station and then bring your dog to hike seven trails at parks around the state. Rangers will validate your card at each park to verify that you and Rover didn’t wimp out. Start right here at Don Carter State Park with the 1.5-mile Woodland Loop and Lakeview Loop Trails.

The off-leash play areas are free, but for a small fee you can rent one of three shady private parks with running water and picnic facilities. (Trust us, you’ll feel like a rock star in the VIP section.) Dine out at any of the 60 dog-friendly restaurants in Athens.
