It has a large fenced enclosure, and a separate area for the small dogs. There is a half-acre enclosure that gives access to a pond. The dog park has water fountains designed for dog and people, and waste bags are also supplied. There’s plenty of grass here for Fido to roll around in, and a few trees within the park provide some shade. Visitors must get a pass from the city to use the dog park. There is a nice walkway around the dog park for extra on-leash exercise. Ankeny Dog Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
