The Central Paxton neighborhood is a lively and safe neighborhood to take your pup and enjoy a woof of fresh air outdoors at the Pells Park. Pells Park is one of Paxton's largest parks, making it the perfect place to find a quiet corner in the open greenspace to rest and relax with Fido by your side. Take a stroll around the park, join in on the fun at the playground, play a game of horseshoe, or take a gander at the commemorative memorial at the far end of the park! In addition to picking up after your pooch, don't forget to keep your pup on leash while roaming Pells Park.

West Paxton

While visiting Paxton, you and Fido might be interested in staying overnight to take full advantage of the parks and nearby towns. For all your sleepy needs, check-in to the Paxton Inn Motel, located slightly west in the West Paxton neighborhood. Make sure to travel light though, because only pups up to 25 pounds are welcome to snooze overnight with you for a small, refundable deposit per day. Your stay will come equipped with clean, affordable rooms with air-conditioning, complimentary wi-fi, and a picnic area, where you can take Fido out to potty before bedtime; just make sure to have waste bags on you as there are none provided at the hotel.

South Paxton

The South Paxton neighborhood is a woofderful place to visit with Fido. Leash-up your canine and go for a stroll at either the quaint Fulton Park or charming West Lawn Park, which are less than a block a par. Here you and your pup will discover small and simple green spaces where you and Fido can enjoy a few rounds of walking, or a leisure-filled afternoon lying on blankets and reading books together. The West Lawn Park additionally features a wooftastic mulch-covered kid play area with clean and modern equipment. The parks can be discovered with your pup on-leash, as long as your Fido is well-behaved.

Central Loda

Want to visit the Paxton's greater surroundings? Then hop in the car with Fido in tow and drive a few minutes north to the neighboring town of Loda. Visit Loda's Central neighborhood where you can take Fido for a spin at the pawpular Goodell Park (often dubbed "Loda Park"). The Goodell Park is rich in history, with its roots dating back to the mid 19th century. Nowadays, Loda Park is a hub of activity, with bikers stopping to rest as part of the Bicycle America route. Also, families and kids love to frequent this park in the heart of the village because of its well-maintained children's play area and equipment. Make sure to stop by on your visit to Paxton and the surrounding area!

Northwest Loda

The Village of Loda is but a 10 minute drive away by car, and offers you and your pup the chance to get out and spend some time in the large, wooftacular Emmett Behems Park. Sitting on a lake, this park features furrific outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, and more! Not to mention, there are some great hikes to partake in with Fido at Emmett Behems. Leash-up your pup and hit the trails located just northwest of the park to immerse yourselves into the forests and prairie lands of greater Loda. Don't forget to take a camera for wildlife viewing!
