East Peoria is conveniently located off Interstate 74 and overlooks the Peoria Lake. The River Trail of Illinois offers one of over 1,600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. This previously unused railroad is now the perfect place to walk your dog in East Peoria. Bass Pro Shop hosts the Dog Days Family Event that includes free seminars, demos, and activities for the whole family! You can win prizes, and free doggie bags are provided to the first 100 pups!

West Peoria
This family-friendly community offers easy access to golf courses, universities, hospitals and parks. Bradley Park is home to 140 acres of open space, Frisbee golf, horseshoe pits, picnic shelters, volleyball courts, walking paths, and a dog park! Bradley Dog Park is a fenced, off-leash, 5-acre doggie park that comes with water fountains, waste stations, and separate sides for large and small dogs. Fieldhouse Bar and Grill is a popular spot to grab a bite to eat that serves beer, cocktails and accommodates dogs at one of their outdoor tables on their patio.
