This place has 16 acres of grass for your pup to explore, with two separate areas for large and small dogs. There’s no better place to bring your furry friend to socialize and exercise all in one day. You will also find water and a bench to enjoy and rest. Dog waste bags are provided, in case you fur-got. Owners will need a membership to bring their dog to Green Valley Forest Preserve Dog Park. This is available for a yearly fee, but day permits are also available.

If your dog loves to ruff it, be sure not to miss Green Valley Forest Preserve. This is the hidden gem of Woodridge, with an abundance of natural pawsome trails you can hike with your pup. In fact, there is a whole 12 miles of marked trails you can follow – what a pup-tastic day out for all the family! With woodland hikes and prairies to explore, Green Valley Forest Preserve is a real retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city during the day. Your furry friend will need a valid Forest Preserve District to visit, but it is worth it.

When you are out exploring during the day, it is always enjoyable to stop at a café and restaurant to relax and grab a snack. It is even better if you can bring your pup along too! The Cozzi Corner serves delicious hot dogs and beef sandwiches during the day, with pet friendly outdoor picnic tables available. The staff are also more than happy to provide you with a bowl of water, so your dog can enjoy a drink too. In Kingsley Crew, you will also find the All Aboard Diner. This trained-themed eatery has two outdoor tables where you can sit with your pup, as well as enjoy some tasty American food.

If you are looking for a fun nature walk to enjoy with your pup, you will love Hawthorne Hill Park. There are over 71 acres to explore, with sniff-tastic trails through the woodlands. Your furry friend will have a blast with all the new scents and sights! This is a pawsome place to spot wildlife, such as owls, grey squirrels and white-tailed deer. But, since there is the chance to run into some animals, all dogs must remain on their leash. Be sure to bring your backpack with some water and treats for your pup to enjoy, as you go on your adventure in Hawthorne Hill Park.

For a relaxing afternoon stroll with your furry friend. Be sure to visit South Grove Park. There is plenty of open space and grass for your dog to run and play fetch, as well as a walking path with a lake. All pups can be top dog here, as long as they remain on their leash. In south East Woodridge you will also find Ide Grove Park. This is a small neighborhood park, but has pup-tastic walking trails to wander around, as well as picnic areas and a play area for the kids, with swings and other fun equipment. Dogs are welcome around the grassy areas of the park on leash.
