Cranberry Run

The Cranberry Run development on the west side of town is a residential area with single-family homes. You and your special pal can take a stroll along the sidewalks here. For a change of pace, take Fido to a game or share a picnic in the park at Eley Memorial Park on West Albion. This facility has several ball fields, a playground, and a picnic area. Bring a ball or frisbee and play fetch on the open lawn here. You can bring dogs as long as they're on a leash that's no longer than six feet. Remember to clean up any waste.

Ley Street

The Ley Street neighborhood includes residential streets and the public library. There are sidewalks here where you can take Spot for a walk around the block. If you'd like a change of pace, head to the Ley Street Park. This undeveloped facility has nature trails that wander through some woods and open areas where you can go exploring with your canine companion. Stretch your legs together and look for wildlife here! Dogs are permitted to accompany you as long as you keep them on a leash that's no longer than six feet. Bring water and waste bags with you for your outing.

Bixler Lake

About six miles north of town, you'll find the community of Bixler Lake in Kendallville. This neighborhood includes some single-family homes, a public library, and a pawtastic recreational facility. Many of the streets here have sidewalks where you can stroll with your pooch. When you want to walk or jog around the water, head to Bixler Lake Park. This facility includes a walking trail, boat dock, picnic area, and campground. Enjoy the outdoors with your four-footed friend here. Make sure you keep your pup on a leash that's no longer than six feet. Bring waste bags with you to clean up any messes.

Drake Terrace

Drake Terrace is an apartment complex in western Kendallville that's about six miles north of Avilla. There's a nice neighborhood block where you can stretch your legs with your fur baby. Just off Drake Street, you'll find a pawesome little park that you and your canine pal can visit. Head to Sunset Park to get some fresh air and exercise. This facility has a playground, ball fields, open space, and picnic facilities. Practice obedience with your special friend, then enjoy an outdoor meal together here. Be sure to keep your pup on a leash no longer than six feet and to pick up his waste.

Wakefield Village

About 7.3 miles north of town, you'll find the neighborhood of Wakefield Village. This lakeside community includes single-family homes and a cemetery. There are some peaceful lanes here where you and your pooch can take a stroll together. Take your canine pal to Detering Nature Preserve to go exploring. This 54 acre facility, located off East Kammerer Road, is a combination of woods and wetland. There's a walking trail that loops through the area. Enjoy a hike with your furry friend in this furrific property. To help protect the plants and wildlife, please keep your dog on a leash and clean up after him.
