Hi!!! I am currently on summer break from college at Washington University in St. Louis studying Environtmental Policy! I pride myself in being happy-go-lucky while also maintaining responsibility. I will have an unpaid internship this semester (and will be away from my doggy for a long time) so this opportunity would be perfect! I would LOVE to be able to spend time caring for your dog!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Kyle and I own two shelties (13 and 15 years old) now that they are getting older, they can’t take long walks like they used to. I love being outside and being active. What better way to enjoy the outdoors than with a dog?! I’ve spent my life with dogs and understand the difficulties of providing consistent exercise for our loving pups. This app is a win/win! I look forward to helping you keep your dogs happy and healthy!
Approximately 32 miles east of Gary and 26 miles west from South Bend sits the lovely city of La Porte, Indiana. This community, also known as Maple City, has been the center of various historical moments, from the Belle Gunness murders to the most recent election of one of the youngest mayors in the country.
La Porte, Indiana, is rich in nature. Not only is Lake Michigan only a stone’s throw away from La Porte; the city is literally surrounded by lakes. The largest two lakes are Stone Lake and Pine Lake. There are various recreational parks and facilities surrounding these lakes, some of which are even open for dogs!
There is also a lot of green areas in the city of La Porte, Indiana, itself. The number of community parks in La Porte are in the double digits. The Lurh County Park, Red Mill County Park, and Kesling Park are one of the most treasured parks within the La Porte community as these parks are well-suited for dogs as well.
The Luhr County Park also has a small off-leash area where dogs do not have to be on a leash. There are similar parks that are considerably larger in size in Michigan City (Creek Ridge County Park) and Westville (Bluhm County Park). These parks are just a short drive away from La Porte, Indiana.
The downtown neighborhood in the small town of La Porte gives a person and dog some quaint shop windows to view while the paws pad the sidewalks. Any dog would appreciate a change of scenery at any of the the several neighborhood parks. Scott Park on Jefferson Avenue is a 5-acre park which offers benches, a water fountain, and a shelter. Ben Rees Park on Scott Street is a 1.5 acre park with benches, a shelter, and a walking track. Scott Park on Jefferson is 5 acres of green space with benches, shelter, and a water fountain.
