There is a good mix of rental property and real estate with apartments and single-family homes throughout the town to fit every family's budget. Many of these properties are dog-friendly, so don't stress if you are planning a move into the area! Fites Lake is a lovely spot to visit with your pup if you are looking for an amazing way to spend an afternoon with your dog. Just make sure you keep some towels in the car!

This amazing and expansive state park is ideal for dog walkers and nature lovers alike. You can grab some friends and they can bring their pups as well for a full day of hiking fun throughout the trails that wind through this unique natural area. There is a large lake in the middle of the park that is simply pawfect for cooling off after a hot morning making your way through the trees. Your dog will be grateful for the break, so make sure you have plenty of waste bags and water for a nice rest stop before making the trek back to the car!

Gulivoire Park

Gulivoire Park is just ten minutes to the north of Lakeville. This community is a small but pretty place to take your dog for a walk. If you are looking for a well-kept green park, there is a park that shares the town's name right in the middle of town where your dog is welcome on-leash to roll and run to his heart's content. Just pack plenty of waste bags for easy clean-up before you leave the park to head out on your next adventure. Some snacks and drinking water are always a great idea as well!

Erskine Park

Erskine Park is a lovely place to bring your pup if you don't mind a quick fifteen-minute drive from Lakeville. You will find the Studebaker Park on the northern end of this community is an amazing family-friendly destination whether your family has two or four legs. The park is a blend of green space and golf course, with walking paths dedicated just to pedestrians walking without the golf clubs in hand. You will want to keep your dog on a short leash and give yourself plenty of space if your dog gets nervous around new people or new pups.

UNITE

UNITE is a unique little community in the middle of South Bend, just twenty minutes north of Lakeville. This community is the pawfect place for you and your dog to enjoy some sun-filled fun together. You will want to pack your bag full of waste bags and chew toys for an afternoon of entertainment. You may also want to bring a blanket to lay out on the grass of the Ravina Park while you read a book or watch your pup roll around in the grass next to you. The Southeast Neighborhood Park is just a minute to the north of town and has walking paths that are just pupperific during spring.
