Book now“The road to my heart is filled with paw prints”
I’m a proud mom of 3 teenagers, and 3 dogs. My family and I recently moved to Cincinnati from Indianapolis, where I began working for Wag. Wag has been such a fun experience for me. I have loved and bonded with every dog that I have walked. Before working for Wag, I worked as a kennel attendant and front desk receptionist at an animal hospital, where I walked, fed and distributed medications to all the boarding animals. My heart is with all dogs.

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Alexandria
Brookwood
Brookwood
One of the best features of the Brookwood neighborhood is the popular Alexandria Community Park. The area covers over 7-acres and provides one of the best fishing ponds in the county. When you are looking for a family and Fido-friendly activity for the weekend, head over to the park and walk along the trails, or sit on one of the shaded benches while the kids climb on the playground equipment. Some of the trails are paved, making for an easy going walk. There are restrooms available where you can refill water bottles, but you will need to bring your own doggie waste bags.
Main Street
Main Street
Located in the Main Street neighborhood, residents of Alexandria are proud of the Tribute Park that recognizes all the people who serve the city and the country, including police, EMS, fire, and the armed forces. This beautiful park offers paths through the amazing gardens where Fido can roll in the grass or sniff the flowers. There are shaded benches throughout the park where you can stop for a rest and a cool drink. The central location makes this one of the best parks in town to spend quality time with Fido.
Fairground
Fairground
Another option when searching for a great place to walk your pup is the Kees Park Playground in the Fairground neighborhood, where you can spend a couple hours with the kids and the pooch. There is a large grassy open field where Fido can run and romp, and the kids can chase a soccer ball and use up some energy. You may also want to pack a picnic and enjoy a snack at one of the picnic tables located in the park. Walking laps around the perimeter of the park will give your pooch a chance to pee on some trees and have a snifftastic time. Be sure to bring your own water bottles and doggie waste bags for an enjoyable day at the park.
Friendship Park Cold Spring
Friendship Park Cold Spring
When your pampered pooch needs even more space to roam, head over to Friendship Park, located about 5 miles from Alexandria in this neighborhood in nearby Cold Spring. The park is situated right behind the police department which offers a safe place to play for both two and four-legged family members. The walking track around the park is perfect for getting some extra steps, and the playground equipment will keep the kids entertained for hours. Plan to meet up with friends and their canine companions for a picnic or a friendly game of horseshoes. If you'd rather go out for lunch, Barleycorn’s is a Fido-friendly neighborhood bar where you can sit with your pup at one of the outdoor tables.
Taylor Mill Pride Park
Taylor Mill Pride Park
Located just 20 minutes from Alexandria in the nearby town of Taylor Mill, you and your pup will love spending time at the 43-acre Pioneer Park. This popular neighborhood park features the Kenton County Paw Park that is fenced in and offers two separate areas for large and small pups to play with other pups of the similar size. The enclosed area provides lush grass and plenty of space for Fido to roll around and pee on trees. After spending the afternoon at the dog park, stop by Graeter’s Ice Cream for a pup cup and rest at one of the pet-friendly outdoor tables.
