Brookwood
One of the best features of the Brookwood neighborhood is the popular Alexandria Community Park. The area covers over 7-acres and provides one of the best fishing ponds in the county. When you are looking for a family and Fido-friendly activity for the weekend, head over to the park and walk along the trails, or sit on one of the shaded benches while the kids climb on the playground equipment. Some of the trails are paved, making for an easy going walk. There are restrooms available where you can refill water bottles, but you will need to bring your own doggie waste bags.

This beautiful park offers paths through the amazing gardens where Fido can roll in the grass or sniff the flowers. There are shaded benches throughout the park where you can stop for a rest and a cool drink. The central location makes this one of the best parks in town to spend quality time with Fido.

Fairground
Another option when searching for a great place to walk your pup is the Kees Park Playground in the Fairground neighborhood, where you can spend a couple hours with the kids and the pooch. There is a large grassy open field where Fido can run and romp, and the kids can chase a soccer ball and use up some energy. You may also want to pack a picnic and enjoy a snack at one of the picnic tables located in the park. Walking laps around the perimeter of the park will give your pooch a chance to pee on some trees and have a snifftastic time. Be sure to bring your own water bottles and doggie waste bags for an enjoyable day at the park.
