“It’s not where you walk, it’s who you walk with!”
I’m a proud mom of 3 teenagers, and 3 dogs. My family and I recently moved to Cincinnati from Indianapolis, where I began working for Wag. Wag has been such a fun experience for me. I have loved and bonded with every dog that I have walked. Before working for Wag, I worked as a kennel attendant and front desk receptionist at an animal hospital, where I walked, fed and distributed medications to all the boarding animals. My heart is with all dogs.

Hello. I have been a pet owner for almost all my life. I have had my own little petsitting/dog business for the past several years. This felt like a good way to add to that. This also allows me to use my knowledge and experience to help others here on the Wag app, to love and walk their pets. I truly am an animal lover at heart and will treat your animal(s) with as much love and respect as my own. They really are such a great enjoyment to my life.

Hello there! I’m Wendy, proud dog mom to Leela, my eleven-year old Pitbull/Chihuahua mix, and Gamora, my two-year old American Staffy. I always grew up surrounded by dogs (and anything else my parents would let me bring home!). I love being the go-to for friends and family that need a dog sitter when they leave town. Living in the small town of Alexandria can be a nice change of pace from the big city of Cincinnati just 20 minutes away. Many residents in the area are dog lovers, and you will often see your neighbors out walking their pups on a sunny weekend morning. When your pup needs medical care, you will be happy to know there are three qualified veterinary clinics in the area.
Plan a day at Pride Park Trail where you can hike through the woods as long as you keep Fido on a leash. The paved trail makes it easy to walk with the kids, and there are several benches and picnic shelters along the path. You can admire the plants and wildlife while Fido sniffs each blade of grass looking for the "right one." The kids will also enjoy the playground, and pups can get a cool drink of water while parents relax and chat with neighbors.
Finding the best healthy dog food for your picky puppy isn’t difficult with two excellent pet stores in town. K & M Feed Pet Tack store offers friendly service and help finding the best food for your pup. If Fido needs a new bed or leash, you will find the latest products at this store.
One of the best features of the Brookwood neighborhood is the popular Alexandria Community Park. The area covers over 7-acres and provides one of the best fishing ponds in the county. When you are looking for a family and Fido-friendly activity for the weekend, head over to the park and walk along the trails, or sit on one of the shaded benches while the kids climb on the playground equipment. Some of the trails are paved, making for an easy going walk. There are restrooms available where you can refill water bottles, but you will need to bring your own doggie waste bags.
Located in the Main Street neighborhood, residents of Alexandria are proud of the Tribute Park that recognizes all the people who serve the city and the country, including police, EMS, fire, and the armed forces. This beautiful park offers paths through the amazing gardens where Fido can roll in the grass or sniff the flowers. There are shaded benches throughout the park where you can stop for a rest and a cool drink. The central location makes this one of the best parks in town to spend quality time with Fido.
Another option when searching for a great place to walk your pup is the Kees Park Playground in the Fairground neighborhood, where you can spend a couple hours with the kids and the pooch. There is a large grassy open field where Fido can run and romp, and the kids can chase a soccer ball and use up some energy. You may also want to pack a picnic and enjoy a snack at one of the picnic tables located in the park. Walking laps around the perimeter of the park will give your pooch a chance to pee on some trees and have a snifftastic time. Be sure to bring your own water bottles and doggie waste bags for an enjoyable day at the park.
When your pampered pooch needs even more space to roam, head over to Friendship Park, located about 5 miles from Alexandria in this neighborhood in nearby Cold Spring. The park is situated right behind the police department which offers a safe place to play for both two and four-legged family members. The walking track around the park is perfect for getting some extra steps, and the playground equipment will keep the kids entertained for hours. Plan to meet up with friends and their canine companions for a picnic or a friendly game of horseshoes. If you'd rather go out for lunch, Barleycorn’s is a Fido-friendly neighborhood bar where you can sit with your pup at one of the outdoor tables.
Located just 20 minutes from Alexandria in the nearby town of Taylor Mill, you and your pup will love spending time at the 43-acre Pioneer Park. This popular neighborhood park features the Kenton County Paw Park that is fenced in and offers two separate areas for large and small pups to play with other pups of the similar size. The enclosed area provides lush grass and plenty of space for Fido to roll around and pee on trees. After spending the afternoon at the dog park, stop by Graeter’s Ice Cream for a pup cup and rest at one of the pet-friendly outdoor tables.
