Mammoth Cave Road West
Leaving Mammoth Cave National Park behind, follow the lead of Mammoth Cave Road, which will lead you to Cave City, a small community in Kentucky. You'll find Dinosaur World on the western edge of town, and you'd be barking mad to miss it! This fascinating collection of dinosaur statues is a pet-friendly museum that you can visit with your leashed buddy. The exhibition is presented in a designated open space in a nature-like landscape, which makes it the perfect day trip destination for the whole family -- furry members included! Dinosaur World is open daily from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Downtown Munfordville
Munfordville is a rural city in Hart County, Kentucky, north of Cave City and east of Mammoth Cave National Park. The city’s southern border is outlined by the flow of Green River, and if you like river views, stop by to have a wonderful stroll along the banks in Green River Park and Arboretum. This is a public park with multiple walking trails, well-shaded areas, plenty of benches, and leash policies for furry visitors. Conveniently located in downtown, the park is a great alternative for those who have a mischievous mutt that needs lots of walks! Just be sure to bring water and waste baggies to keep the park tidy for everyone.

Shawnee Estates
Shawnee Estates is one of the central neighborhoods in Bowling Green, a city in Kentucky located 40 minutes southwest of Brownsville. The neighborhood does not offer many options for entertainment and fun for humans, but here, you'll find a furrific place just for the dogs! Bark Park at H.P. Thomas Park is a clean, well-maintained facility where pooches can play off-leash. The area is big enough to be split into two sections for small and large breeds. Both sections feature plenty of shade, drinking water fountains, and seating for humans. Don't forget to bring the waste bags!

Blue Heron Way North
Freeman Lake is one of the most pawpular attractions in north Elizabethtown, and if you follow the lead of Blue Heron Way, you'll be rewarded with the beautiful Freeman Lake Park. The park surrounding the lake is a beautiful spot with easy access to the water and a pet-friendly addition: Etown Dog Park. This is a huge green area split into two areas for pooches of all sizes and temperaments to play safely and separately. Join the crowd of local pet owners, or roam with your buddy alone along the walking trails and down to the water! There are usually many friendly pups to play with here, so good luck convincing Fido to leave!

Green River Lake State Park
Located near Campbellsville, Kentucky, Green River Lake State Park is a 1,331-acre green area near the 8,200-acre lake. This is a beautiful place with quiet and charming scenery offering you a great chance to bond with your fur baby while you explore nature together. The park does not have a separate area for pups to run off-leash; however, there are so many walking trails and places to explore that Fido won't mind! The trails will lead you to the waterline, where you'll find an abundance of wildlife, as well as to the forest. There are also several picnic spots in the park, so pack a picnic to share with your pup while you're here. Besides, all that exploring is sure to make you hungry!
