Mammoth Cave

One of the best places to visit with your furry friend is the Mammoth Cave National Park! This pawsome place is located west of Munfordville in Mammoth Cave where you can enjoy some fresh air and exercise. While canines are not allowed inside the caves, there are sniff-tastic trails you can explore with your pup around them topside. Hike through wooded areas andcheck out the overlook at the river. There is also the oppawtunity to spot some eagles here! All pups can be top dog here at Mammoth Cave National Park, as long as he or she remains on leash.

Cave City

For a puptastic day out with your pup, jump in the car and head 12 miles south of Munfordville to Cave City! Here you will find the furrific Dinosaur World, which is an outdoor museum you can wander around with your canine. There are life sized dinosaurs you can look at and learn about and your furry friend is welcome to explore with you on leash. If you would like to stay overnight in Cave City, you can go to Cave Country RV Campground. This is a pawsome place to stay with your pup since there are full hook-up lots and you can camp out under the stars. In addition, there is a special dog run that is all fenced in where your pooch can enjoy some pawsome exercise and playtime!

Greenburg City Center

Every pup loves a trip to the park, which means a visit to Green County American Legion Park has got to be on the cards! This pawsome place is just east of Munfordville in Greenburg and will be furrific for your pooch. Here you can go for a casual stroll around the sniff-tastic walking trails and play fetch out on the open grassy fields, as well as take advantage of the puptastic amenities here. This includes baseball and softball fields, picnic area with grills, and access to Green River for going canoeing. Just be sure to bring some fresh water and treats for your furry friend!

Hanging Rock/ Black Rock

There is nothing better than a trip to the park with your pooch! So, why not head to B.G. Dewitt Park? This is a pawsome green spot just west of Munfordville in the puptown of Leitchfield. Here your furry friend can enjoy playing fetch and exploring around the grass, with there being some trees that will provide you with shade when it is hot outside. Other puptastic amenities at B.G Dewitt Park include a playground and swings for the kids, as well as restroom facilities. It may be best to keep your canine on his or her leash here, since the park is right next to a railway line.
