Even though South Hamilton is not officially acknowledged as a town or neighborhood, the area offers paw-lenty of peace and quiet for visitors and residents. South Hamilton probably wouldn't be your first destination if you're in the area -- unless you're looking for a beautiful green space where you can share a quiet moment with your pup. Patton Park is a charming neighborhood park that often hosts live music events and festivals. The park has a shaded gazebo, walking trails, and multiple playgrounds. Forest Street is a cozy residential area to the east of Newbury Street in the northern part of Danvers. This is where you'll find Endicott Park. This well-maintained public park offers miles of walking trails for leashed walks with your pup! You can also sniff around the orchards and even pay a visit to the animals living in a local barn. If your hound is still a little hyper, paw on over to Danvers Dog Park, right across from Endicott Park. This fenced dog park comes complete with benches where pet parents can take a load off while their dogs burn some steam.

Bridge Street Neck (Bridge St Neck)
Bridge Street Neck is a downtown neighborhood overlooking North River. History buffs might enjoy the museums and cultural places in this area. If you're traveling with Fido, though, your first place of interest will be Salem Play Area for Canine Exercise, also known as SPACE. This is by far the coolest park you can visit with a pooch! A huge area to run and play complete with benches and drinking water is all yours to enjoy once you obtain the annual pass. The park is open even for non-residents; you just have to have all your papers in order when visiting the first time. Another membership-only facility is Leslie’s Retreat Dog Park, a fully equipped pooch playground with a double-gated entrance.

West Gloucester
The western part of Gloucester is closely connected to Magnolia Village, offering beautiful open-space landmarks and nature preserves. Visitors to Ravenswood Park pawsitively love its walking trails! Here, you'll find more than 600 acres of solitude and quiet wilderness. If your furry friend is more of a couch pup-tato than a hiker, he'll love Ledge Hill Trail, featuring fern-covered boulders and about 2 miles of adventure! Looking fur a challenge? There are more than 10 miles of trails to explore and sniff, so you can choose your own adventure. Take a few laps here, and you can skip several exercises in the gym tomorrow!
