North Weymouth
There’s no place your pup would rather be on a beautiful afternoon than the Webb Memorial State Park. Sitting right on a peninsula in Hingham Bay, this natural space provides pawsome views of Boston’s harbor and skyline as well as Weymouth’s Grape Island. A network of gravel trails weaves in and out of the park. As you wander through the sumac woods, you’ll find various memorials to citizens of Weymouth. There are even some side trails that lead to the beach. Several benches are scattered throughout the park, so sit back and soak in the view. No bones about it, this park will make your dog’s tail wag!

South Weymouth
If your pooch is desperate for some off leash time, take her over to the Southfield Dog Park. She can romp and run to her heart’s content in this fenced field. Bring her favorite ball and play a game or two of fetch, or just let her mix and mingle with new four legged friends. This park has a separate area for small dogs, so petite pooches can play without worrying about their bigger peers. Your furry BFF can also test her athletic prowess on the agility equipment. By the time you head home, she’ll be doggone tired!

Looking for a new place to walk your pooch? Grab his leash and head over to Weston Park. This small neighborhood park is surrounded by shade trees. It has a ball field and playground. Your pal can trot around the grassy area for some exercise. For a change of scenery, make sure you stop by Pond Meadow Park. This 320 acre conservation area is chock full of lush vegetation and mature trees. Several trails wander through meadows, wetlands, and marshes, so your pup will also get a healthy dose of nature. This park is also a bird watcher’s haven. Keep your eyes open for a variety of feathered friends.

Liberty Plain/ Finnville
If your furry friend needs a weekend getaway, pack a tent and a couple sleeping bags, and head over to Wompatuck State Park. Located in neighboring Hingham, this puptastic park is just a five mile drive from Weymouth. Grab a camping spot before heading out to explore the miles and miles of trails. Heart Health Loop is a quick one mile paved trail that takes you into the woods. The Triphammer Pond Loop is 3.4 miles, so your pooch will get a bit more exercise. There are plenty more trails to choose from, and each one will lead you through spectacular scenery. By the end of the day, your pal will be ready to relax by the campfire.

Rockland St
Treat your furry friend to a walk in World’s End, a stunning coastal park in Hingham. It’s only a 15 minute drive from Weymouth, and totally worth a visit. The combination of rolling hills, wooded areas, and rocky shorelines will make you feel far removed from the chaos of everyday life. There are 4.5 miles of unique tree lined carriage paths and footpaths. Follow the main trail, or create your own route. You can even spot the Boston skyline from a couple lookout points. Snap a photo of you and your pooch with the Hingham Bay in the background. Sounds amazing!
