North South Berwick
Looking for a new place to walk your pooch? Grab some snacks, water, and a leash, and check out Orris Falls Conservation Area. Not only will your dog get some great exercise, he’ll also get to see some pretty pawsome terrain. Once home to volcanic activity, the area is now a combination of lush wetlands and vernal pools. Trails range from .7 miles to 1.8 miles. Don’t miss out on the side excursions. Follow the short side trails to Lachance Point, the Big Bump, and Balancing Rock, a glacial erratic boulder. Several kinds of critters call this place home, so watch for beaver, turtles, and ducks.

Berwick
When South Berwick dogs need to let loose, they head over to Berwick Bark Park. Located in the neighboring community of Berwick, the park is just minutes away from South Berwick. The park is privately owned by a couple of dog loving folks, but it is open to the public from May to October. Your furry friend will tire herself out as she romps and wrestles with new friends. A separate area for petit pooches is available, as well as benches for pet parents. Mature trees give the pups some shade and keeps them cool during the dog days of summer. Sounds pupperific!

Long Sands Beach

Since this beach is a pup-ular tourist destination from May until September, dogs are not allowed on the beach between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during these months. However, your pal is welcome to splash in the waves in the early summer mornings and evenings, as well as anytime of day in the off season.
