Just a skip and a hop from downtown, you'll find a huge recreation spot for your mutt to play off-leash: Portsmouth Dog Park. The park is one of the green areas located on South Mill Pond and has a convenient path to the water. You are welcome to choose from a fenced off-leash area, an unfenced off-leash area, or explore both! After working up an appetite, head back to downtown for some grub. Conveniently located on the banks of the river, the park has access to the water and a special, fenced area for pooches to play off-leash.
