Enjoy a day out with your pup at the Old Settlers Park. This beautiful park offers picnic tables, benches, a gazebo, and plenty of grass and shade for your pup. Take a hike throughout the Palmer Woods Forest Reserve with your pup. The 721-acre reserve has over four miles of trails that you and Fido can explore, but be aware that some trails are difficult to hike and have steep climbs. Take a hike along the Bay View Hiking Trail that takes you through the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and offers a 5.9-mile hike on a loop style route. The Pyramid Point Trail is a smaller hike that will take you along a hilly terrain while you hike. Your dog will love the 2.7-mile hike alongside you.

Head over to the Twin Lakes Park and have a great Day out with you pup. The 175-acre park is perfect to visit if you are looking to get a good walk in with your furry pal. The park has hiking trails that takes your through a wooded area that's covered in pine groves. The park sits along Twin Lake, perfect if your dog loves the water. Located in Traverse City, and only seventeen miles out of Maple City, your pup will have an amazing time out at this lovely park with you.24

Honor
Take a hike along the Empire Bluff Trail. This lovely trail takes you through the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and offers a 1.5-mile hike for you and your furry pal. You will hike along some hilly terrain and will be covered by a beech-maple forest. While hiking, enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Michigan on this well marked trail. Make sure you keep Fido on a leash while you hike since this trail is along a cliff. Located in Honor, and only fourteen miles out from Maple City, your pup will have an amazing time exploring this trail with you.12

Lake Ann
Enjoy a day out at the Almira Township Park with your four-legged pal. The 1.65-acre park offers two pavilions for shade, restrooms, and a swimming area. There are covered picnic area and plenty of grass for your dog to run. Stroll through the wooded part of the park and get a good walk in with your dog. Take a hike along the Lake Ann Pathway for some extra mileage. This trail is 5.80 miles long and takes you through the Interlochen State Park. Located in Ann Lake, and only nine miles out of Maple City, your pup will have an amazing time out at this park.
N Traverse Heights
Check out the Grand Traverse County Park in nearby Traverse City to enjoy all the amazing amenities this green space has to offer. With seven baseball fields, an amphitheater, pavilion, a hill to climb, and a playground for the two-legged kids, this park is not short on amenities. Get a walk in on the one-mile walking track inside of the park to get a good day of exercise in while you are there. The park also offers an indoor pool for the humans, so it can be busy at times.
