St. Joseph, Michigan, commonly referred to as St. Joe, is in the southwest section of the state adjacent to Lake Michigan. The St. Joseph River runs through the city and was settled in the late 1700’s. This community-oriented town welcomes visitors and is extremely pup-friendly. If your pup is ever in need of care, there are three veterinary clinics and hospitals ready to handle any issue which may arise.
If you and your pawtastic pup are looking for an idea to spend the day together, look no further than Tiscomia Park. The area is covered with sand dunes, which are great for taking your fur-ever friend for a walk, and a day-use area which offers something for everyone. There is swimming on the North Pier for people and lots of open, grassy areas for the pups. Let Fido romp on an extended leash and release all his pent-up energy! Don’t forget to pack a picnic lunch to share on the provided tables. Restroom facilities and drinking fountains are provided on site and there are clean up stations. Please remember to clean up after your pup to keep this park fur-friendly!
