Hey my name is Carmine! I’m currently looking for a full time engineering job and I figured it would be great to do Wag in the meantime . My dog Millie is almost 8 years old and she’s the sweetest thing ever. She’s some a Jack Russel/Italian Greyhound Mix and while she’s one of the greatest things I’ve got going right now she doesn’t love to walk all that much. So I’d like to brighten up my days by meeting some new dogs and getting some light exercise.

Located about 15 minutes west of Detroit, Westland is a great place to spend time with your pup. Pup parents also do not have to travel far for quality veterinarian care in Westland. There are nine clinics and hospitals available for all of Fido’s emergency and routine medical needs.

When Fido needs some exercise, head over to Central City Park where you can walk around the path and let your pooch stretch his legs. Your pup can sniff the plants and flowers in the well-maintained gardens, or sit on a bench and watch the kids play in the skatepark. The area is peaceful and serene, and perfect for a stroll on a sunny day.

Another popular destination in town is Dead Man’s Hill which features walking trails where you can admire nature or bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic with your pooch. During the winter, this is the best place for sledding.

The Westland Dog Food Company is a great place to find premium food and toys for your pooch. The friendly staff will help you find what you need and answer questions about the best puppy products.

If you are looking for a pooch-friendly place to go for breakfast before heading out to the park, stop by Biggby Coffee on Ford Road in downtown Westland. You can grab a great cup of coffee and muffins while relaxing at the outdoor tables with your pup.

With a variety of parks and pooch-friendly activities, Westland is a wonderful place for Fido and the family.
