One place you have got to visit when you are in Grand Rapids is the Golden Anniversary State Forest! This is a pawsome place where you can explore the sniff-tastic trails among the northern white cedar, red pine and aspen trees with your furry friend by your side. You are able to camp here, as well as go hunting and fishing, with picnic areas to enjoy a treat. All pups can be top dog here, as long as they remain on leash.
A pawsome place to head for some exercise in Grand Rapids is the Mesabi Trail. Here you will find the Snowball Lake Wayside Park which makes a pawsome place to stretch your legs and let your pooch enjoy some exercise. You can burn off any excitable energy out on the sniff-tastic trails around the park, with plenty of greenery to keep your furry friend amused along the way. There is also some open space where you can take your pup to play fetch with a ball or Frisbee. Just be sure to bring some water and treats to keep you and your canine’s energy high!
To enjoy some fun and exercise with your beloved companion, take a trip to the George Washington State Forest! Located not far from Grand Rapids in the puptown of Bovey, this forest offers lots of pawsome exercise oppawtunities for you and your pup. There are many sniff-tastic hiking trails through the forest that you can explore, with all of the scents and sights of nature to keep your furry friend’s tail wagging. Plus, there are lakes where you can fish and hunting is permitted here too. You can also bring some food and enjoy a treat with your pooch at one of the picnic shelters.
