Badoura/Hubbard
Two of Minnesota's state forests dip into the Badoura/ Hubbard neighborhood, making this the perfect area for some exciting dog walks. The Badoura State Forest stretches out for just over 15,000 acres, but keep in mind that many parts of the forest are quite boggy, so be sure to bring a few towels for Fido afterwards. The 34,000 acre Huntersville State Forest can also be accessed from this neighborhood, and boasts everything from hiking trails to river canoeing. Located just outside of Park Rapids, Nevis is a small town, and home to a segment of the famous Heartland State Trail, which connects Park Rapids with the city of Cass Lake. This 49 mile trail is completely paved, although many segments also have a grassy surface that dogs absolutely love.
