East Hyde Park/ Lookout St
Look no further than the East Hyde Park/ Lookout Street neighborhood, of city of St. Joseph, 20 miles northwest of Gower, for an outdoor extravaganza with your fur-iendly pup! Hyde Park offers an 93 acres of fun. Check out the many paths which lead throughout the park, which are perfect for all pup-abilities. They are paved and level, and offer scenic views as you meander with your pup on leash. Don’t miss the summer entertainment which is held at their bandstand. A playground, sports courts and restrooms top off the amenities.36
Bartlett Park East
Check out Bartlett Park, in the Bartlett Park East neighborhood, of city of St. Joseph, 20 miles northwest of Gower. You and your pawtastic pup can enjoy 24 acres of outdoor fun on their open space and grassy areas. Take Fido for a walk through the park on the paved paths, and don’t forget to pack a picnic lunch to share on their tables scattered around the park. Restrooms are provided, as well as drinking fountains, operational during the summer months. A playground will entertain the kiddies while Fido is enjoying the park with you on leash.24
N 36th St/ N Belt Highway
Pack up your pup and head to the Mark Youngdahl Urban Conservation Area, in this St. Joseph neighborhood, 20 miles northwest of Gower. This outdoor space features three walking trails which you and your pawtastic pup can enjoy. Choose from the Ridge Trail or the Pond Trail which are paved and perfect for all pup-abilities. The Marsh Trail is just over ½ mile long with a gravel surface. These trails meander through a 2-acre wetland, full of native wildlife. Restrooms are provided here as well as shaded picnic shelters.12
Union Street
In the Union Street neighborhood of St. Joseph, 20 miles northwest of Gower, you and your fur-ever friend should not miss visiting France Park. This small park is full of big-time fun found on its 2.5 acres. There is an open playfield concept where you and your pawtastic pup can roam throughout and decide what you will do together! Imagination is the key to a great day here with your fur-ever friend. There are paved paths to take Fido for an on-leash walk around the landscaped grounds and benches to relax after. No restrooms or water are on-site.Edgerton
Head to the Kendzora Conservation Area in the town of Edgerton, just 9 miles south of Gower. This 35-acre parcel is a wildlife preserve which offers visitors a chance to see an incredible variety of animals and waterfowl. The 35-acre lake offers fantastic fishing opportunities for you, and is where your fur-ever friend can take a swim in an out-of-the-way swimming hole. Take Fido for a hike through the 500 acres of forested land and grasslands here. Pups can be off leash as you carve your own path through the area. There are no restrooms, so plan accordingly.
