Owensville is country living at its best with lots of green space and conveniences just a short road trip away.  This town of fewer than 3,000 people takes care of its families with a canine member.  One veterinary clinic within the boundaries takes care of most of a dog's routine and emergency veterinary needs.  Many specialists and animal hospitals are within thirty miles away in every direction.

The city has planned well for its residents.  Four dedicated green spaces for parkland makes Owensville a pleasant town for people with pups.  Memorial Park on Parker Drive has plenty of open green grassy spots and forested property.  Memorial Park features a playground, a pavilion, and plenty of picnic sites.  A 1.75-mile fitness trail lets you and your furry family exercise together amid the trees of the park. The fitness trail takes its walkers across a quaint wooden bridge and through a canopy of green foliage.  Buschmann Park, also known as City Square, is the center of town activity.  City Square is on South 4th Street, and a gazebo is at its hub. Luster Park on 2nd Street is known as "Railroad Park" and is a favorite green spot to stroll with a leashed four-legged buddy. A pavilion makes this an ideal park for a family get-together.
