Visitors to Saint James will find some comfy places to stay while traveling with a furry pal.  Greenstay Hotel & Suites on the North Outer Road allows visitors to bring along up to two canine family members of any size for an additional charge of $10 per dog per night.  This hotel includes all the standard amenities, plus an indoor pool and free Wi-Fi.  Economy Inn on the North Outer Road always has a dog-friendly room ready for you and up to two pups of any size for a charge of $10 per dog per night. For a tasty sweet snack, Ruby's Ice Cream on State Rte. B is just the ticket.  Ruby's invites people with canine pals to enjoy a sweet treat.  An outdoor table and several benches will seat you and your furry friend.

Rolla City Limits

Rolla is a prime place to find lodging for a visitor traveling with a furry family member, and the city is just eleven miles west of Saint James.  Several hotels along Martin Springs Drive accommodate guests with a four-legged buddy in tow. Super 8 accepts guests with up to two dogs of any size for the added charge of $15 per dog per night.  Econo Lodge will have that dog-friendly room waiting for you for an additional fee of $10 per dog per night. Best Western Coachlight rolls that red carpet out for you and your pup.  Dogs of any size are welcome at Best Western for $20 per dog per night. Please bring only two canines with you for this stay.

Cuba City Limits

Cuba is just a short drive of fourteen miles east of Saint James. Cuba is the place to find some good chow with that Chow Chow or poodle of yours.  Several restaurants make you, and your Molly or Max, seem very much at home.  Missouri Hick BBQ serves up some succulent meaty dishes. This restaurant is located at 913 East Washington Street. The front porch seating means dog-friendly dining!  The Four Way Restaurant on West Washington Street serves lunch and dinner.  A menu of off-beat sandwiches, lamb burgers, salads, and sweet desserts makes this an excellent eatery to visit.  Two outdoor tables on the patio will seat you and your four-legged dining companion.  Frisco's Grill & Pub offers pizza, steak, and other pub fare.  This restaurant is open late on the weekends.  Outdoor tables will welcome you and your pup.

Steelville

Steelville is seventeen miles east of Saint James, and it's the pawfect spot for a camping adventure.  Huzzah Valley Resort welcomes you and your furry family member with beautiful wooded tent sites complete with convenient restrooms and showers nearby.  The Huzzah River provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, and canoeing.  Dogs must stay on a leash no longer than ten feet.  Also, for wine aficionados, the nearby Peaceful Bend Vineyard makes for a great visit.  The vineyard has a tasting room, a menu of cheeses and sandwiches, and pleasant outdoor tables for you and your pup to enjoy. Hiking trails through the vineyard property give you and your leashed pal a stretch.

Owensville City Limits

Owensville is thirty-four miles north of Saint James.  A trek to White Mule Winery on US 50 is a fantastic day adventure for you and your canine companion!  This expansive winery welcomes canines to sit outside at one of the many outdoor tables and sip a selection of the native fermented grapes.  White Mule serves a full menu of entrees like steak, chicken, and pasta dishes on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon.  For an easy bit of exercise, Memorial Park on Parker Drive features a 1.75-mile fitness trail that takes you and your leashed friend across a bridge and through some wooded spots.
