Peaceful Bend Vineyard on State Hwy T welcomes you and your four-legged buddy to visit for a wine tasting and a walk along the hiking trails. The vineyard has picnic tables which will make you and your pup comfy as you relax with a glass of one of the house wines.  For a sweet quick snack, Dairy Isle & Grill provides an outdoor table for you and your canine companion to sit for an ice cream cone or a burger.  Huzzah Valley Resort also attracts visitors from all parts of the state and beyond. This campground arranges canoe and raft floats on the Huzzah River.  The campground permits dogs to camp with their families, but they must stay on no less than a ten-foot-long leash while in the common areas.

Cuba City Limits

Cuba is just eight miles north of Steelville, and it's the place to go to grab a meal with a pup in tow! Missouri Hick BBQ on E. Washington Street invites you and your four-legged dining companion to chow down on some pulled pork, barbecue ribs, and a variety of hearty main dishes.  Outdoor seating on the porch will make both of you comfortable.  Frisco's Grill & Pub on S. Smith Street is designed for the beer connoisseur.  Frisco's has twenty-two different beers on tap.  A variety of sandwiches, appetizers and yummy entrees will keep you coming back for more.  Outdoor dining will seat you and your canine companion.  The FourWay Restaurant has two dog-friendly outdoor tables.  This restaurant, located on W. Washington Blvd., serves American cuisine for lunch and dinner Monday-Saturday.

Saint James City Limits

Saint James is conveniently situated on Interstate 44.  Saint James offers those folks traveling with their dogs some dog-friendly lodging.  Greenstay Hotel & Suites on the North Outer Road welcomes guests with up to two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $10 per dog per night.  Economy Inn will roll out the red carpet for those who may be traveling with more than a couple four-legged family members.  This motel is on the North Outer Road as well.  The rooms are all dog-friendly, and there is no weight restriction on the canine guests.  The motel charges an additional fee of $10 per dog per night.

Sullivan City Limits

Sullivan is twenty-six miles north of Steelville.  The town has many options for folks traveling with a four-legged buddy.  America's Best Value Inn on the North Service Road permits guests with up to two dogs for an additional charge of $10 per dog per night.  Also on the North Service Road is Baymont Suites & Inn.  Baymont welcomes visitors with up to two dogs of any size for $10 per dog per night, and recommends that guests call in advance to secure one of the dog-friendly rooms. They have a limited number available.  The Super 8 charges $5 per dog per night and allows as many as two dogs of any size to stay.

Rolla City Limits

Rolla is twenty-eight miles west of Steelville.  Rolla is a perfect resting spot for travelers who are heading somewhere on Interstate 44. Folks traveling with a four-legged companion or two have several options for lodging here.  The Best Western Coachlight on Martin Springs Drive welcomes guests with up to two dogs for an additional charge of $20 per dog per night. Once you two are settled into your room, why not paw on down to Ber Juan Park? This pawesome community park features walking trails, a children's playground, and even a water park! Dogs are allowed in most areas of the park as long as they are leashed.
