Aloha, I’m Taylor and I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. Dogs hold a special part of my heart. I grew up with Lily the Black Lab, Kona the Rottweiler, and Ginger the Basenji. Kona was my best friend in the whole world! I started sitting my neighbors’ dog when I was 14 and since then I have regularly house-sat and walked many of my family and friends’ dogs. My experience ranges from a single walk to watching four dogs for two weeks. I hope I can help with you and your pets’ needs!

I am a reliable and passionate pet lover. I know how good it feels to know my pet is being checked on when I’m not able to be there and I want to give you that comfort as well. I take special care to tailor my visits to each pet’s needs and owner’s instructions.
Hello! I always had a family pet growing up. I helped with training, feeding and related. Labs, a golden retriever and a westie named Weston! I recently helped raise a maltipoo named Boots! So sweet! He turned gray by age one! :) I have been doing various petting sitting since childhood. I also do contracted assistant work and I have ongoing fine art and writing projects. I would love to meet your dog and be of assistance soon! Thanks.

“Walkies, Big W, W-A-L-K, Doggie Dubs : Let's go!”
I grew up in a family full of dogs. My grandparents were breeders, my aunt and uncle have hunting dogs, we had both show dogs and pound puppies. I have a lot of experience with 'difficult' temperaments, forever puppies, and doggy anxiety. I'm patient and calm under possible stressful situations. I love all breeds and personalities and can't wait to meet your furbaby!

Explore some of the caverns Missouri has to offer with Fantastic Caverns. Fifty-minute Jeep tours with very little walking are given seven days a week at various times. Dogs are welcome on the tours, but only one dog is allowed per tour, so you may have to wait a couple tours before you and your dog can board. There are picnic tables and hiking trails on-site, so you’ll be sure to keep busy while waiting for the next tour.
Need to unwind? Spend a day of peace at Japanese Stroll Garden. Take in the sights of beautiful flowers, crisp greenery, lazy streams, and ponds of koi fish while enjoying the festivities the garden has to offer. Don’t forget to stop by the traditional tea house to witness an experience like none other. Be sure to bring Fido along to experience something she hasn't experienced before. Well-behaved dogs are allowed throughout the garden, but they must be leashed and under the control of their owners at all times. If you want to enjoy some off-leash time, stop by Cruse Dog Park, this Dog Park stays under the radar but hosts thousands of visits and is a top-rated local favorite.
Indulge in a deliciously healthy meal at the Tropical Smoothie Café. The café serves fruit smoothies, coffee smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, and salads, all made with gourmet cheeses, meats, and breads. Tropical Smoothie Café also offers vegetarian and vegan meals, as well as catering. When your furry friend needs to burn off some extra energy, head over to Cruse Dog Park in the Sunshine Street and Golden Avenue neighborhood. Throw off the leash and let her run free in this fenced 6 acre park. She can enjoy mingling with new four legged friends or just explore the park solo. Either way, she’ll be appreciative to be outside sniffing some fresh air. There is a 1.5 acre section for dogs on the smaller side, so little dogs can enjoy the park at their own pace. Keep in mind registration is required before using the park. Take a trip to the Park Board Administration Building to sign up. Your pup will be pawsitively glad you did!
Fassnight Park in the Sunshine Street Grant Avenue area is a pupperific place to walk your furry friend. This picturesque park has a paved walkway that follows Fassnight Creek. Leash up your pup and take a jaunt around the park to get his heart rate pumping. He’ll love the exercise and the chance to be outdoors. With plenty of trees, you can take a break and relax in some shade. The park also has a swimming pool, play equipment, and sport courts. If you are just visiting Springfield, there is a Days Inn nearby that welcomes up to two small canine friends. Make a reservation and let your fur baby get a good night sleep.
Any dog would be lucky if they got a treat from Sassy’s Goodies. Located in the Grand Street and Barnes Avenue neighborhood, this barkery serves up decadent canine confections made from high quality local ingredients. Treats are free from wheat, corn, salt, sugar, soy or preservatives. They feature dog favorites such as pumpkin, peanut butter, chicken and sweet potato. Your mind will be at ease knowing your fur baby is only getting the best treats available. Pick up a Pup- cake for your favorite pup. Her taste buds and tail will go wild as she digs into her very own cake!
Is your pup due for a bath? Give The Big Dog House a call. This full service grooming salon can be found in the Pine Avenue and Sunshine Street area. The folks at this salon are just waiting to spruce up your pooch. If he needs a little TLC, book one of the Healing Paws Spa treatments. Your pup can have a massage, walk on a treadmill, or go for a dip in the canine pool. This facility also provides daycare, boarding and training. Happy Tails is also in the neighborhood and offers daycare and boarding. Dogs are divided into play groups according to size and activity level. Your fur baby will love meeting new four legged friends.
For a long afternoon of frolicking and fun, take your dog to the Sequiota Park in the southeastern neighborhood of Galloway. This 28 acre area provides enough room to play and explore, and will keep your pup sniffing for more! Grills and picnic areas provide great places for lunch, and the onsite restrooms and drinking fountains can allow you to extend your visit. Take one of the nature trails that wind through acres and acres of gorgeous scenery, or spend some time at the lake. When you and your dog are ready for some real adventure, head to one of three natural caves. While two of them are quite small and require a crawl to get into, the third is rather large, and features jagged formations, pools of spring water, hanging stalactites, and perhaps even a bat or two!
