East Anaconda
It’s no secret that dogs and parks are a match made in heaven, so your pal will love spending time in Benny Goodman Park. The expansive grass area will definitely make their tail wag! It’s perfect for aimless wandering and letting your dog’s nose go to work. Two legged visitors can take advantage of the baseball field, basketball court, and playground. There’s also a pupular skatepark for those on wheels. Pack some burgers and drinks, and head over to the park’s covered picnic pavilion for a puptastic summer evening barbecue; just be sure to bring some biscuits for the four legged guests!

West Anaconda
Washoe Park is a pawsome spot to spend the afternoon with your furry sidekick. The large property gives you plenty of room for exercising your pup. Walk, jog, or run around the walking trail or venture off the pathway and let your pup discover a new route. Stop by Warm Springs Creek so they can dip their paws in the cool water, or watch a game at the baseball field. Groves of mature trees add to the park’s beauty and provide shady areas during the summer. The park also has horseshoe pits, a fish hatchery, and duck pond. Don't forget to bring clean up bags and plenty of water.

North Anaconda
Dogs living in Anaconda are lucky to have the Lost Creek State Park right in their own backyard. This gorgeous park sprawls over 500 acres and is comprised of amazing rock formations. Limestone cliffs and granite bluffs jut into the sky and create an amazing hiking destination. If you’re pal is in the mood for a longer hike, follow Forest Service Trail #8133 as it runs alongside Lost Creek and passes through beautiful forests and meadows. For shorter hike, take the Lost Creek Falls trail to an amazing 50 foot waterfall. Bighorn sheep and mountain goats are frequently seen traipsing around the cliffs, so keep your eyes peeled!

Warm Springs
Treat your pup to a walk in the Warm Springs Wildlife Management Area. Several creeks converge into a series of man made ponds that are used to purify local water resources. But there’s nothing artificial about the surrounding area; with big sky, wide open fields, and a trail system, it’s the perfect spot to reconnect with nature while exercising your canine companion. The large bodies of water make an ideal bird habitat, so expect to see a variety of feathered friends. Anglers can also be found here year round. As you wander about enjoying the scenery, make sure your doggo doesn’t harass the resident fowl population.

Georgetown
If your pup loves hitting the trails, head over to Georgetown for some pawsome hiking. The east side of Georgetown Lake is where Denton’s Point Trail begins. Since this trail extends for miles and miles, you can hike until your pup is ready to turn back. You’ll encounter a couple of steep inclines, other than that it’s a pretty easy hike. Storm Lake Loop is a mellow trail that circles a beautiful alpine lake. It’s just over a mile long and has stunning mountain views. If your dog has energy to burn, follow the Storm Lake to Goat Flats route. This trail ventures 3.5 miles into the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness and up to the tops of the mountains.
