The central Mill Hill neighborhood in Albemarle is an ideal location to visit with your pooch when in search of outdoor recreation. At the Montgomery Memorial Park, you and Fido are welcome to play on the grounds on-leash, watch a ball game or the kid's at the playground, and more! The Park offers a great space to lounge or exercise with your pup. Just keep Fido on-leash as the park is not too far from a road. Otherwise, leash up your pooch and go on a walk or run on the safely marked pathways that make up the Roger F. Snyder Greenway! The walking trail is a great way to satisfy your exercise goal for the day while taking in the natural beauty of Albemarle. Pups will need a leash at all times and pooch owners are asked to follow the park's "poop and scoop" policy!
West Albemarle
Albemarle is constantly growing and improving the quality of life for its residents! Come and see for yourself at Albemarle's newest park, the City Lake Park, located in the West Albemarle neighborhood. The barktastic City Lake Park hosts a variety of outdoor recreational activities which you and Fido are welcome to partake in on-leash! In addition to the park's two boat docks, amphitheater, golf-course, and covered picnic shelters, the park also boasts brand new multi-use trails for walking, mountain biking, or running!
