South Mebane

South Mebane

If you're in Mebane, North Carolina and you need a place where your fur baby can exercise, you have to visit the APS Dog Park. The park is an off-leash, properly fenced area where dog socialization and exercise are the top priorities. It's a pretty well-maintained park that has trees and shade all over the park. Moreover, there are benches where the dog owners can sit back and relax while their dogs play around. In order to visit the park, the dog owners must attend an orientation class and there is also an annual fee required for entering the park. There are water facilities available as well as lots of toys for the dogs.

Tired of dog parks yet? If not, we've got another one for you! Approximately 18 miles away from Mebane, in Elon, is another pawesome park called K-9 Corner at Beth Schmidt Park. It's a one-acre fenced park where dogs can play and socialize off-leash. The park offers fresh water for your pup and poop bags for cleaning up. There are benches and picnic tables in the park for the human visitors. Your pet has to be socialized to enter and must have all of the necessary vaccinations. If you want to take an on-leash walk, you can do it on the one-mile Beth Schmidt Park trail outside of the fenced area.
West Carrboro

West Carrboro

Twenty miles south of Mebane is the Anderson Community Park in West Carrboro. This is an off-leash, fully fenced dog park that provides plenty of space for dogs to play and exercise. It has a double-gated entry and benches for human visitors. There are no separate areas for small and large dogs, and all dogs have to play in the same area. So if your pup has a problem with that, this might not be the right place for you. If you're visiting the park, make sure you bring plenty of water because there is no water available here. Bringing a leash and some doggie waste bags is always a good idea, too.
