Gloucester City West

Located right alongside the Delaware River, Gloucester City West is an incredibly scenic neighborhood. One of the best spots from which to soak up the views is Proprietors Park, which is situated on the water's edge. This popular park is home to a marina, a play area, a gazebo and winding walking paths that are pawfect for a leisurely stroll with Fido. Not too far away from here is Three Corner Park, which has recently been refurbished with brand new play equipment and an upgraded walking path. Dogs are welcome in both parks, but do need to be kept on a lead at all times.

Sports Complex/ Navy Yard

Directly adjacent to Gloucester City, just across the Delaware River in Philadelphia, is the neighborhood of Sports Complex/ Navy Yard. There are a few green areas here that are pawriffic for a dog walk, such as Crescent Park, which only opened a few years ago. This park is home to a play area, picnic benches, fishing spots and walking paths, as well as beautiful waterfront views. For even more excitement, head to Central Green, which was designed by a top landscape architect. This circular park features 46 smaller circles within it, containing everything from ping pong tables to fitness areas to hammocks, as well as a 0.2 mile track that runs around it all.

Fairview

The neighborhood of Fairview in Camden is right next to Gloucester City, and offers up a couple of green spaces that Fido will love. The largest is Union Field, where you will find sports fields and courts, several benches, a paved path, and plenty of trees for your pooch to sniff at. Just a few blocks away is the scenic Yorkship Square, which has been beautifully landscaped to provide a green oasis in the heart of an urban environment. There are a few different walking paths here, as well as grassy lawns and a variety of trees and shrubs.

N Black Horse Pike

This Mount Ephraim neighborhood is just over a mile away from Gloucester City, and is home to such a pretty park. At 73 acres in size, Haddon Lake Park is extremely spacious, and features Haddon Lake at the center of it. The park boasts plenty of facilities, including sports fields, playgrounds, an amphitheater, picnic areas and a fishing pier. There are also a few trails here that are pawfect for a dog walk, such as the one mile trail that loops around the lake, and the the 1.6 mile Cross Country Trail. Don't forget to bring a lead, doggie bags and drinking water with you!

West Collingswood

Less than two miles from Gloucester City is West Collingswood in Collingswood, and this quaint neighborhood is always a fun place to spend a few hours. The highlight of West Collingswood is Knight Park, which sprawls out for 70 acres. This large park is home to sports fields, a playground, a pond, a pavilion and a paved walking path, as well as large grassy lawns for you and Fido to frolic around in. This is a park popular with dog owners, so you will likely meet quite a few other pooches here, but just remember to keep your dog on a lead at all times.
