“Dog walking is no job - it's a passion!”
Hi there! I have been walking dogs in Hoboken, NJ for over 2 years now, which I absolutely love! I have had an endearing love for dogs since 2001 when my parents finally gave into the many pleas of my two younger brothers and I to get us a dog. We were introduced to Tiki, a magnificent Black Labrador, who became the sister we never had.

I doubt you're ever gonna find anyone who loves dogs more than I do. I've lived with dogs my whole life, walked at least 100 of my friends dogs, read dog books, volunteered at the Humane society in Hawaii, donate to ASPCA monthly, and just love them like crazy. I'm used to walking between 35.000 to 45.000 steps a day and can't wait to start walking your little one.

Hi there. My name is Dan. I go to school at GW, and I'm looking to walk some local pooches to help pay for school. I'm new to the world of professional pet care, but I'm no stranger to caring for dogs. I have a basset hound mix named Bon Bon back home (who I miss like crazy) that I've loved and cared for the past 8 years. I've also had experience sitting and walking dogs for neighbors and relatives. I look forward to getting out to meet some new pups and brighten their days.

I was raised on a farm in California, and I have been around dogs since I was a very young child. I have cared for dogs both professionally and for family, roommates and neighbors. I LOVE dogs, and I think they can sense when they meet a dog lover, which probably explains why they tend to love me as much as I love them. I look forward to spending time with your furry friend!

I'm great with dogs! I've walked and dog sat for friends and family over the years and volunteered in animal shelters, and want to pass on my experience and love to your dog. I'll make sure your dog has a fun walk, and gets his or her, ahem, 'business' done. I'm sure I'll love your dog and they'll love me (but if they don't, no worries, they're still a good dog)!

Maplewood, New Jersey, first came to be in November of 1922; it had existed under a different name for almost sixty years beforehand. Since then, Maplewood has become a pretty well-known town, making quite a name for itself. For example, Ultimate Frisbee was invented in Maplewood by a group of college students! Several movies have been filmed in Maplewood, too, including Garden State, Gracie, and Stepmom.
Today, Maplewood remains a popular area. It’s not just popular with humans, though; dogs will also find enjoyment in Maplewood! With two dog-friendly restaurants and a dog park in town, there’s sure to be something for your canine companion to do. There are also three veterinarian clinics located in the area so that you and your dog can find the best doctor possible; there are all sorts of variables that determine if a vet is the perfect fit. Outside of Maplewood, there are many different options nearby -- you have even more dog parks and dog-friendly restaurants to choose from. While Maplewood might not have a ton of options, there are some, and with friendly people and even more opportunities nearby, make sure to give Maplewood a visit!
If you’re looking to grab some grub and want to bring your chow-hound along, look no further than the heart of Maplewood! Visit Maplewood Grille, which brings together traditional American cuisine and modern Colombian fare. This restaurant is open seven days a week, and there’s a patio where your dog can dine alongside you. He’ll need to be on a leash, though. Want Italian instead? Head to Roman Gourme, which serves delicious pizza, pasta, and more! Your dog can eat with you on the patio. He’ll need to be on his best behavior. Bone Appetit!
While your dog might enjoy running around the backyard, it’s no substitute for the fun he’ll have at South Mountain Dog Park! This spacious bark park has separate areas for large and small dogs, so your dog can play safely. South Mountain Dog Park is completely fenced in, and the fences are tall to prevent dogs from trying to slip out of the park. Water is provided for both you and your dog, and there’s also agility equipment for more adventurous dogs, giving them the chance to get in their exercise. Have a doggone good time at South Mountain Dog Park!
Socialization is important for dogs; it helps them develop manners and make friends! Mountain’s Echo Lake Dog Park, located about fifteen minutes from Maplewood, gives your dog another opportunity to socialize with his own species! This fenced-in, off-leash dog park spans three acres, meaning there’s plenty of room for your dog to run around, make friends, and get in his exercise. Bring along a ball or frisbee for a fun game of fetch. There’s also seating for pup parents. Water and waste disposal bags aren’t provided; please bring your own.
About twenty minutes from Maplewood, Bloomfield’s Watsessing Park is home to Watsessing Dog Park! This fenced-in, off-leash dog park lets your dog get in plenty of exercise and burn off that pent-up energy. The ground at this bark park is covered in gravel to reduce how muddy your dog gets, so you can even take him to Watsessing Dog Park after a hard rain. Water is provided for your pup, and there’s plenty of seating for you to relax on. Make sure to bring along waste disposal bags of your own, though; no one likes a mess.
Want even more places to dine with your dashing dog? Head to South Orange, which is located just northeast of Maplewood. If you want pizza, make sure to visit Boccone South, which serves up mouthwatering slices. The restaurant has two dog-friendly patio tables. Want something a little lighter? Head to Town Hall Deli, which dishes up amazing sandwiches, salads, and more! Your dog can join you on the patio. Your dog should be on his leash and best behavior at both establishments. There are two other dog-friendly eateries in this neighborhood, including an ice cream shop.
