Roselle is located in Union County, and people with pups benefit from being close to many amenities. The town has three veterinary clinics that will make sure that your furry family member stays healthy on a routine basis and will be able to respond to any emergencies. 

Roselle has some furiffic outdoor spaces for exercise and fun. Warinanco Park is located within the city boundaries on its east side. This 200-acre county park is home to a lake with boating and fishing opportunities, as well as an ice rink, numerous picnic sites, and pavilions which can be reserved. There are several trails of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty. Dogs are welcome to join their people in Warinanco, but must remain on at least a six-foot leash. 

The town also has a bit of large open green space at its Sylvester Land Memorial Field. This field is used for the many sporting activities that the town's recreation department hosts each year, including football and baseball. Dogs must be on-leash at all times.

Rahway River Park is located four miles south of Roselle in the adjoining city of Rahway. This is another fine Union County park which offers a person with a leashed dog a pawesome outdoor experience of hiking and picnicking.  

If you're looking to enjoy a day outside of town, you'll find several parks in the neighboring municipalities. Linden adjoins Roselle on its south and east side, and is home to over a dozen city parks that welcome leashed pups and their parents. Woodrow Wilson Memorial Park offers some green space, a lighted paved play area, and fishing. St. Marks Park has some grass, a lighted paved play area, and a picnic area (permit required).

Keep in mind that there aren't separate sections for small and large breeds here -- all dogs play in one area, so if you have a shy or small dog that doesn't play well with the big boys, you might want to find another option. For the most part, though, pups have a doggone good time at this pawesome park!

No need to worry about your pup running off -- this dog park is fully fenced so every pup plays safely. Small dogs have their own separate area, too. Water, bowls, and waste stations are provided on-site. The human companions will find plenty of shaded seats from which to sit and enjoy the great outdoors themselves. Clean up after your pup to help keep the park clean for everyone.

Fido will love playing, training, or just strutting his stuff on the agility equipment here. Meanwhile, you can rest and relax at the shaded seating or the cute little gazebo while you snap a few pics of your precious pupper at play! Benches are situated around the dog park, and trees just outside the fence lend a bit of shade.  Water is available on-site, and waste stations are stocked with waste bags for easy pickups. A walk with a leashed dog by the Passaic River is a good way for a person to get some outdoor exercise with their canine.
