Tremley

Pups start to prance when they approach the Linden Dog Park in the Tremley neighborhood. This large, grassy field is fully fenced for some leash-free freedom and fun with some new pals. This is a one-size-fits-all dog park, which means there aren't separate areas for the small dogs. Pups are polite here, but be sure to supervise your furry friend. Drinking fountains for canines and humans can be found inside the dog park.  Waste bags and benches are provided for pet parents' convenience. This dog park suffers from the absence of trees -- a hat or an umbrella will be a great help on a hot sunny day.

Woodbridge

Woodbridge is located just six miles south of Linden. Woodbridge Dog Park is the place to go if you have a pup. Hounds howl with delight when let loose in this fully fenced dog park! Green grass cushions those paws as dogs run leash-free in one of the two enclosures. Small dogs have their own separate place to play. Several pieces of agility equipment make exercise more interesting for a pup. The dog park features drinking fountains for dogs and people, and waste stations make clean-ups super easy. People have plenty of places to sit throughout the dog park, and a gazebo adds a bit of charm as well as shade.

Mountainside

Just eight miles west of Linden, you'll find Echo Lake Dog Park in Mountainside. This is a big dog park -- three fully fenced acres! Small dogs have their own separate section too. This dog park features all-natural terrain and is the best option for leash-free fun and socialization. Green grass and blue sky await you and your pup at this very scenic dog park, which supplies both drinking water and waste bags. The human companions can relax on one of the many shaded seats and let their furry companion run to their heart's content.  This dog park has a time-out pen in the rare event a skirmish breaks out.

bellevue Ave

Montclair is a little fur-ther afield at 20 miles from Linden, but you and your pooch are sure to fall head over paws for Brookdale Dog Park! This spacious off-leash park features a separate section so the little guys can play safely. The ground is a mixture of grass, dirt, and mulch. Pooches love playing and training on the agility equipment here! Thirsty dogs and people don't have to leave the dog park. Waste stations have those supplies stocked. Pup parents can relax on a shaded seat while they watch their pooch sniff out some new canine friends.

Lyndhurst

Riverside Dog Park in Lyndhurst, just 20 minutes from Linden and located within Riverside County Park, has it all for the pup who needs a place to just be a dog. Pooches can run safely in one of two fenced enclosures here, one of which is set aside for the small pups. The ground in this dog park is a fine gravel. Water, waste bags, and numerous toys, including frisbees and balls, can all be found within the park. Human companions will find places in the shade to sit. A leashed walk near the Passaic River is a pleasant way to end the outing.
