Mountainside is located seven miles north of Rahway. Echo Lake Dog Park has almost three acres dedicated to a dog's off-leash exercise. This dog park spans almost three acres. One area of the dog park is set aside for small dogs and the other for the larger ones. The ground is mostly grass and dirt. Dogs can sniff the best nature provides in this non-manmade place. Drinking water and bowls are supplied by the park. Human companions find plenty or benches positioned under shade trees. A decorative gazebo adds to the amenities. This dog park is also accessible to those with disabilities.

Montclair is located twenty-one miles north of Rahway. Brookdale Dog Park offers some pawesome space for your pup to experience off-leash. This dog park features two large enclosures for pups. One is set aside for large dogs and the other for small. Gravel mulch fills the ground in the dog park. This surface resists water and is easy to clean, so this park stays tidy! A waste station filled with doggie waste baggies helps in the task of keeping this dog park one of the best in the state. This dog park has a few pieces of agility equipment, including ramps. Pet parents will appreciate the many shaded benches.

Riverside Avenue East

Lyndhurst is located twenty-three miles north of Rahway. Riverside County Park makes it easy for your doggo to run and find a few canine companions! This park features an off-leash dog area for your pup's exercise and socialization. A separately fenced enclosure is restricted to smaller dogs. The surface of the dog park is a gravel mulch that resists the rain and keeps dogs relatively clean. The dog park does provide drinking water and bowls. The humans enjoy the shaded benches. A few miscellaneous toys like frisbees and balls can always be found within the park. Many folks with a leashed pup take a scenic stroll along the Passaic River before heading back home.

West Morristown

Morristown is located twenty-six miles north of Rahway. Lewis Morris Dog Park will put a little more wag in your pal's tail. This dog park has a large, paved, fully-fenced area so dogs can unleash and enjoy the freedom. A small dog section is fully fenced for their safer play. Lewis Morris is surrounded by large trees. Many waste stations are fully stocked with doggie waste bags for those necessary clean-ups. Hikers may want to check out the main park. Lewis Morris has over 2,000 acres of recreational land and twelve miles of trails which welcome leashed dogs to explore.
