North Kenilworth is quite a busy part of town, but there are still a couple of parks here that provide a green oasis in the midst of all of the hustle and bustle. The 11 acre Black Brook Park is one of the most popular because of all of the facilities it boasts, from baseball fields and roller hockey courts to playgrounds, a gazebo and picnic areas. There is also a paved walking path that runs through the park, making it easy to explore all that the park has to offer. Also in this neighborhood is 16th Street Park, with its baseball diamond, playground and walking path.

Roosevelt Park
The neighborhood of Roosevelt Park in Cranford is right next to Kenilworth, and boasts a few parks that your pup will no doubt love. The highlight of this neighborhood is that it provides access to Nomahegan Park, which stretches out for 100 acres and offers up scenic waterfront views of Nomahegan Lake and the Rahway River. Lenape Park consists of almost 2000 acres of land, and is split into East and West sections. On the west side, you will find nature trails, canoe access points, playgrounds, picnic tables and a gazebo, whereas the east side of the park boasts softball and volley ball courts, picnic pavilions, a playground and beautiful views of Lake Lenape. With so much to see in this expansive park, you could easily spend the whole day here, just make sure to keep your pooch on a lead at all times, and bring some doggie bags with you too.

This Union neighborhood is adjacent to Kenilworth, and offers up some pawsome dog walks. If all of that is not enough, take a walk over to Echo Lake Park. Not only are there sports facilities, pedal boats and picnic areas here, but you will also come across the Echo Lake Dog Park. This fully fenced-off dog park has separate areas for smaller and larger dogs, and provides fresh water and doggie bags too.
