Woodbridge is nine miles south of Elizabeth. Woodbridge Dog Park has some pawesome green grass for dogs to have some off-leash fun! Small dogs have their own safe space for playtime at this fenced park. This dog park has plenty of restful shaded spots for people to sit. Water fountains in the dog park make it okay to forget a water bottle. Waste baggies help keep the dog park sweet-smelling and clean. A nearby gazebo is great for shaded seating and makes for some cute pics of you and your furry friend. The lake nearby has a few walking paths so a person and a leashed dog can get some exercise together.

You'll find another furrific dog park just 9 miles away in Mountainside. Echo Lake Dog Park has three fully fenced acres for your dog to find a few new furry friends. Small dogs will find their own patch of nature just for them. This dog park has all the amenities of a woof-wonderful park! Water is available for people and pups, and the convenient waste stations make clean-ups a snap. Pet parents can spread out on the many shaded benches throughout this expansive dog park. The dogs play nicely at this dog park, but if a skirmish occurs, the dog park has time-out pens so that dogs can take a break until cooler tails prevail.

Maplewood is twelve miles north of Elizabeth. South Mountain Dog Park is in the South Mountain Reservation, a popular Essex County park. This dog park has a fully fenced enclosure for your pup's leash-free exercise and fun. Smaller pups will find their own separate area for safer play.  This dog park has natural ground cover and numerous mature trees around the perimeter. People will have no trouble finding a bit of comfy shade from which to snap a few cute pictures of their favorite four-legged friend. The dog park has water on-site. Dogs wag some happy tails when challenged by the numerous pieces of agility equipment. Waste stations are also amply stocked with baggies for convenient pickups.

Furry friends will love the pack at Brookdale Dog Park in Montclair! Located 16 miles from Elizabeth, this dog park has a large, fully fenced space for dogs to have a pawfect time playing leash-free. The ground is a mixture of mulch, dirt, and grass. The little guys won't feel overwhelmed in their small dog space. The dog park has some toys left over from generous previous visitors, and also provides drinking water for both pups and people. Waste stations leave visitors with no excuse not to pick up after their pooches--so clean it up, paw-lease! The shaded benches make for a comfortable place to supervise playing pups.
Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst

Gray gravel lines the ground of the Riverside Dog Park in Lyndhurst, and dogs love getting a sniff of it! This leash-free dog park located 17 miles from Elizabeth makes it a pawesome day to be a canine. The dog park features two separate enclosures.  Dogs are separated by their size into their own playgrounds. Water fountains take care of that basic need, and waste stations take care of another, with baggies always in good supply. A few shaded seats keep the human companions happy and comfortable on those hot summer days. A leashed stroll near the Passaic River is a furrific way to end the day, or to warm up for off-leash playtime. The main park is scenic, with flowering spring trees and jumping fish in the morning hours, which perks up those ears of your four-legged companion.
