Fishing in summer or winter is popular as well, so don’t forget your pole. Fido is welcome everywhere on leash.

Oneida

Mount Hope Park at the Mount Hope Reservoir, in the Oneida neighborhood, in the city of Oneida, 2.5 miles southeast of Durhamville, is full of outdoor adventure for you and your fur-ever friend. There are 65 acres to roam which feature great fishing opportunities, and of course, scenic campsites. Does your pup like to hike? Then hop on the Mount Hope Reservoir Rim Trail Loop here. This trail is pup-friendly and runs for 1.3 miles throughout this beautiful area. It is rated as ‘easy’ and perfect for even elderly pups. Fido must remain on leash. Restroom facilities are provided here.

Vernon

Take your pup for a visit to the Vernon Town Park, in the town of Vernon, 11 miles southeast of Durhamville, for some relaxation time together. This small, but charming park offers open grassy areas, perfect for spreading out a blanket and watching the world go by. Or catch a game at the various sports courts here. Take a stroll on the paved paths throughout, or have a picnic lunch under the covered pavilions. There is plenty of shade to be had from the mature trees which grace this park. Restroom facilities round out the amenities here.

Northside

Veteran’s Memorial Park, in the Northside neighborhood, in the city of Oneida, 2.5 miles southeast of Durhamville, is a small community park with big-town features. The city’s municipal pool is located here along with numerous sports courts and fields, and a great playground for the kiddies to entertain themselves. Take a leisurely walk throughout on the paved paths with your fur-ever friend and enjoy the views. These level walkways are perfect for all pup-abilities. Be sure to keep Fido on leash here and bring mutt mitts to clean up after them. Restrooms facilities and drinking fountains are provided on site.

Oneida Heights

Look no further than Allen Park, in the Oneida Heights neighborhood, in the city of Oneida, 2.5 miles southeast of Durhamville, for a fun time outdoors with your fur-ever friend. This park features beautifully landscaped grounds and scenic views throughout. It is a perfect place to have a picnic lunch. There are sports courts and fields, and a playground for the kiddos. Take a walk throughout on the paved paths, which are pup-friendly and suited for all pup-abilities. Restroom facilities, drinking fountains and clean up stations are available here. Be sure to keep Fido on leash while visiting Allen Park.
