Make sure to visit the Verona Beach State Park, in the town of Verona Beach, 11 miles northwest of Durhamville, for some great outdoor time with your pup. Covering a whopping 1,735 acres, this park offers many amenities for both people and their pups. Pick up the Woods and Wetlands Trail here to take a nature hike with your fur-ever friend. Picnicking is top-notch along the lakeside, and if you are looking for an overnight adventure, pup-friendly campsites are scattered throughout. Fishing in summer or winter is popular as well, so don’t forget your pole. Fido is welcome everywhere on leash.

Mount Hope Park at the Mount Hope Reservoir, in the Oneida neighborhood, in the city of Oneida, 2.5 miles southeast of Durhamville, is full of outdoor adventure for you and your fur-ever friend. There are 65 acres to roam which feature great fishing opportunities, and of course, scenic campsites. Does your pup like to hike? Then hop on the Mount Hope Reservoir Rim Trail Loop here. This trail is pup-friendly and runs for 1.3 miles throughout this beautiful area. It is rated as ‘easy’ and perfect for even elderly pups. Fido must remain on leash. Take your pup for a visit to the Vernon Town Park, in the town of Vernon, 11 miles southeast of Durhamville, for some relaxation time together.
