Irvington on Hudson
Being located in the heart of Irvington, there is always plenty going on in the Irvington on Hudson neighborhood. You will find a couple of Irvington's parks here, including the Scenic Hudson Park, which stretches out for just under five acres. With two sports fields, two playgrounds, a boat launch and winding pathways that total just under a mile in length, there is plenty to see and do in this park. Also in this neighborhood is Memorial Park, which is home to tennis courts, three fields, a playground and picnic tables. Dogs are welcome in both of these parks, so long as they are kept on a lead.

Dobbs Ferry
The small village of Dobbs Ferry is adjacent to Irvington, and offers up some pawsome dog walks. For spectacular woodland views, the 76 acre Juhring Nature Preserve is the place to go. This beautiful expanse of wilderness boasts several hiking trails that you and Fido can follow, with each one varying in length and difficulty level. Just make sure to bring along a lead, doggie bags and drinking water for the both of you. For a shorter walk, the eight acre Gould Park is also in this neighborhood, with its basketball court, swimming pool, sports fields and playground, as well as a paved walking path that runs through the park.

Benedict Ave
The Tarrytown neighborhood of Benedict Ave is right next to Irvington, and is a beautiful green area in which to spend a few hours with your pooch. This is where you will find the Glenville Woods Park Preserve, a 45 acre nature preserve which is just one section of a 580 acre stretch of unbroken forest. There is such a wide variety of different habitats within the preserve, with more than 100 bird species, 26 reptile species, and over 100 plant species living here. The extensive network of trails running through the park are the best way to explore your surroundings, just be sure to keep Fido on a lead at all times.

Ardsley
Less than a mile from Irvington is the small village of Ardsley, which provides access to a few pawsome parks. Begin at the 172 acre V.E. Macy Park, with its large lake, ice skating rink, sports fields, and open grassy lawns. The McDowell Park is smaller, but still features several sports fields, a pavilion, a snack bar and picnic areas. If your pup still needs more exercise, you can access Secor Woods Park from Ardsley. This spacious park is not only home to playgrounds, sports facilities and picnic groves, but also to a large expanse of woodland with walking trails running through it.

Saw Miller River
There are so many pawtastic walks to be had in Saw Miller River, a Tarrytown neighborhood that is less than two miles from Irvington. The 70 acre Tarrytown Lakes Park is always popular, as it contains two large man-made lakes with walking trails looping their way around them. Not too far away from here is the south end of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, which features 1425 acres of forested hills and valleys, as well as several hiking trails to choose from. One of the longest trails in the park is the 1.7 mile Lucy's Loop, which will take you past hardwood forests and small streams, while the one mile Eagle Hill Trail boasts some panoramic views of the Hudson River.
