You do need to pay for a membership to gain access to the park. The Nike Overlook Park is a pawsome place for a leisurely stroll with your pooch, and definitely a hidden gem in Piermont. Here you can enjoy the peacefulness of the woods while walking your pup, as well as the tunnels in this old Cold War missile defense site.

Sparkhill/ Palisades
Just next door to Piermont, you can visit Sparkhill for a pawsome day out with your furry friend! The Tallman Mountain State Park is definitely worth a visit, as there are lots of sniff-tastic trails you can hike with your pooch by your side. You can explore the wooded forests in this 700 acre park and enjoy the scenic views over the Hudson and Piermont Marsh. All pups can be top dog here, as long as they remain on leash. If you get hungry, you can head to The Filling Station for a bite to eat. Here you will find burgers, pizza and bake desserts; just what you need after an active day! Here you can enjoy getting back to nature, and see the tumbling waterfall. The trail is around one mile long, so be sure to bring some treats and water for the journey!
