“I love every dog!”

I am a stay-at-home dog mom to a lab mix named Stella. I have experience volunteering at animal shelters as well as previous work experience at a doggie day care, and have walked and sat for several of my friends! I have also earned a certificate in Animal Welfare Management from Stautzenberger College. My goal is to be the ‘next best thing’ for your dog when you are not able to be there, and will do my absolute best to make sure your pup is comfortable and happy while in my care.

“Walk or run, let's start the fun!”

As a true pet lover and dog owner myself, you will not be disappointed with my services! I maximize each walk whether that is ensuring the pup gets their potty break in or if it's just for some exercise, my time is dedicated to the pups needs. I treat each pup as my own and am always willing to spend a little extra time to give out belly rubs and love! Boardings within my home are also equally as fun; I have a big fenced in backyard and a large doggie door that gives the pup some extra freedom!

“Animal whisperer; BS Animal Behavior”

Hello, my name is Claire and I LOVE animals! I have my Bachelor's in Zoology with lots of experience with exotic animals, even lions when I was in Africa! I have had animals all of my life (many dogs, many fish, gerbils, and currently two cats) and can't imagine life without them. To save up money for grad school I decided to walk dogs for Wag! I love spending time outside and would love a dog of my own, but my cats would not be happy, making Wag! the perfect fit for me!

“Dog’s best friend”

Hello, my name is Michael, I'm a 22-year old graduate of The Ohio State University. I’ve had animals all of my life, and I currently have two dogs and a cat. Having pets has made me a more caring, patient and understanding person, and every second spent with a dog is a precious moment. I’m experienced with both high and low energy dogs as I’ve had puppies and I’ve had dogs as old as 17! I’m excited to become best buds with your pup and go on many more walks with them in the future!

“There's nothing like a dog's love!”

I love all animals but dogs have a special place in my heart. I’ve been around dogs since I was 5. I have more experience with high energy dogs. I don’t have any current certifications but I want to get my dog first aid and cpr certification soon. I currently have a dog, he is a miniature pinscher chihuahua mix and has more energy than most small dogs. I have had him since he was 2 months old and trained him myself.

Dog Walking in Akron

Akron is a city that has something for everyone. Located along the picturesque Erie Canal, this city is a regional crossroads that features a plethora of outdoor activities, outstanding shopping outlets, and a vibrant art scene.

If you’re a nature lover, Akron is the perfect place to take a hike. The Ohio & Erie Canal - Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area is a multi-use hiking trail that was originally a historic towpath. Fortunately, Rails to Trails Conservancy transformed the towpath into a magnificent place to take your canine companion for a walk. After exploring the beautiful foothills of the Western Reserve and the seemingly endless Erie Canal, rest your head at Red Roof Inn Akron. This pet-friendly hotel allows up to two pets of any size for no additional fee. For an added bonus, this hotel will even allow you to leave your (well behaved) pet unattended in your room alone.

Before leaving town, grab a quick bite to eat at Aladdin’s Eatery Akron. This local Mediterranean food chain is super pet-friendly and will even provide a water bowl for your furry friend. Whether you’re just passing through, or here for a visit, Akron has plenty for you and your pup to check out!

This great lunch and dinner spot is deep in the heart of one of Akron’s main residential neighborhoods. It’s still close to downtown, making it a great stop for locals and visitors alike. Elizabeth Park Valley in Akron, OH, has a wealth of natural resources. There are two main attractions in the area for dogs. The first is Akron Dog Park. This is a large, completely fenced park area near Cascade Valley Park that’s perfect for letting your dog romp and play off-leash. There are watering stations and some used but useful agility equipment at the park. If you fancy a longer walk, you can head to The Ohio & Eerie Canal Cuyahoga Valley Tow Path. This former freight way has been converted into a multi-use trail for walking, jogging, and biking. Leashed dogs welcome!

There’s a small pond and plenty of its namesake elms. The neighborhood pup-friendly eatery is D’Agnese’s Trattoria and Cafe. This Italian restaurant has outdoor seating when the weather permits. They also offer a doggie menu just for visiting canines who’d like to try some pawsome cuisine! Unleash your canine’s inner food critic!

Goodyear Heighs Metro Park is THE place to be in Goodyear Heights. This park boasts over 400 acres of open space. The multi-use area is used for fishing, sledding, and year-round hiking and walking. There are several trails through the park, and the looped structure makes it easy for you to choose how long or short your walk is. Dogs must remain leashed inside the park, but the bounty of nature and wildlife makes it a great experience for dogs who crave more contact than barking at the neighborhood squirrel. Located right in Goodyear Heights, the metro park is a taste of nature without a commute.

Hampton Hills Metro Park in Merriman Valley is an amazing park for hikers and dogs alike. There are two trails, each running beside streams. You can choose a two or a six mile hike, but be aware that both feature some uphill climbs. Keep you and your dog’s hiking experience in mind when choosing a walk. Leashed dogs are welcome to explore all 650+ acres of Hampton Hills. For a slightly smaller park experience, follow your nose to Sand Run Metro Park. This park focuses more on observing nature, with wetland trails that provide ample bird and salamander watching space. Leashed dogs will have a blast!
