The quaint town of Mogadore is just 15 minutes east of Akron, and offers a friendly suburban feel where families and pets are welcome. The downtown area provides plenty of green space where you can stroll with your pup on a nice day, or visit one of the parks in the area. If Fido needs medical attention, there is one veterinarian clinic for both routine appointments and emergency care.

The Lions Community Park is a wide-open space right in the middle of town. There are convenient restrooms and plenty of trash receptacles where you can dispose of doggie waste bags. You and your pup can walk along the shaded paths and admire the flowers and trees while the kids can play on the ball fields. There are covered picnic pavilions where you can enjoy a snack, but you need to bring your own water bottles.

If you love feeding your pooch high-quality dog food and treats, stop by Jenlyn Feed on Waterloo St. This locally owned business offers both raw and freeze-dried food that is healthy for your pampered pup. The owner researchers all the products she sells, so you know you are getting a great deal.

If you and Fido don’t enjoy living in the big city, but you are looking for amenities nearby, Mogadore is a wonderful pup-friendly town.
