Marietta
The city of Marietta is so small that it is not divided into neighborhoods. The city offers residents a variety of real estate to choose from if you are looking to move into the area with your fur family. The homes are fairly spread out, so you will have no problem getting in a quick walk after work when your pup is craving some exercise and attention. Since the city is a commuter town, there isn't a lot of development in terms of city streets and sidewalks, but you will find the Shellenberger Park is a quaint but charming little green space for a change of scenery.36

Lake Murray
About 25 minutes to the north of Marietta is Lake Murray State Park. This park was the first state park in the state. The park is more than 12,000 acres of gorgeous land and water. The park offers a lodge and cabins for rent if you are looking for a quick vacation spot not too far from home. Dogs are permitted in most areas of the park, but take care to check posted signs as you make your way through the park with your pup.
